Did you mean:

is this a glitch? has this happened to anyone?

hi, a buyer just told me they couldn't buy because they were getting a message saying "The seller only allows you to purchase an item every 10 days" ... weird because this is the first time this buyer tries to buy from me.

I went to check my buyer requirements and i did find this selected:

Buyers who may bid on several of my items and not pay for them:
Block buyers who are currently winning or have bought 1 of my items in the last 10 days.

But still doesn't completely apply to this buyer, since they haven't bought from me.

any thoughts?

thanks!

sounds like another ebay "improvement" that has gone horribly wrong. Beware when ebay does things saying it's to help the sellers. That usually translates to "ebay wants more money from sellers". In the near future ebay will announce a rate increase with false promises of doing more for sellers!

Is the buyer trying to buy more than one item from you?

How would preventing a sale result in more money from sellers?

Your post makes no sense and has nothing to do with what the OP is asking.

Check your buyer preferences:

https://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences

Account>site preferences>buyer requirements, edit>buyers who may bid on several of my items and not pay for them.   Adjust that as you see fit.  Be sure to click submit. This is mine:

The buyer may have bought from you using another name.  Or someone at the same IP address may have bought from you.

The buyer may have enough UID Strikes to be Blocked by your Seller Preference not to sell to deadbeats.

The buyer may be "mistaken" about what the Message is saying.

How does Blocking a sale get more money from the seller for eBay?

maybe... I didn't ask them. but in the end they were able to buy, just kept trying.

so I don't know if it was a temporary glitch.

yes it was selected as I explained. but it doesn't apply for this buyer, since they just wanted 1 item, and they didn't buy before. As i mentioned in my post.

I have purchased from a Seller that you can only buys 3 items every ten days. It has to be 10 days since your last purchase. They are still on Ebay and still you can only purchase item 10 days after you last purchase. I don't know why. I think to give other people a chance to buy there dvd's.  Nothing wrong with my account. That was for everybody. So there must be a way to have your listing set up as that.

With the new system taking place, At least if I sold something, I could always check with paypal, to make sure everything looked good to ship. Now with the New Enforced Pay Mangement, I doubt if you can do this.  I guess tomorrow I will take the plunge and submit all my forms, not a happy camper.

This is an old EBay setting that was used in the past to limit malicious interference. Sellers in the past could have their entire store wiped out by an upset buyer, poster or competing seller.

Assuming eBay creates things to prevent sales would be counterproductive
