when customers invoke right to MBG, will us as sellers be dinged if the reason for delivery delay was due to an unexpected external event (carrier strike, weather, etc.)? does the site identify one scenario to the next? seems like a grey area. personally have had to contact a CS assoc before to remedy such instances as a buyer (but has been far and few btwn)

Well, if you get an isolated foot of snow, lose power, cannot ship within the stated time then likely it would affect your seller account as it is not a situation causing widespread seller problems that would be noted, and accounted for by eBay.

I live on the west coast...San Francisco...flash flood warnings all day...I don't think I am considered in the Pacific NW.
They been telling people not to go out all-day.
Try explaining that to artificial intelligence or customer service in another country...LOL

If the delay was on the shipping end and you can provide evidence to eBay that you were in an area affected by a weather event, they will remove the late shipment strike. I have successfully done this before.
However, if you did not ship the item within your handling time and then it ends up being delayed due to weather, then no, they will not do anything.

Not trying to compete with you, I'm in Washington. We just had a Bomb Cyclone yesterday. Ebay did release a weather announcement for our area. It however thankfully did not hit in my area, but it sure did further north of me and it is a hot mess. We also have another round coming. I'm unsure of where they are saying it is going to hit this time.
