Hi,

I have a basic store subscription and would like to automate a discount for items listed over 90 days.

example 10% discount every 90 days for items listed over 90 days.

with increasing increments each 90 days.

items listed over 90 days 10% off

items listed over 180 days 20% off

items listed over 270 days 30% off

As far as I know, there's nothing to automate what you're wanting to do through Ebay.

There might be some paid programs that might do it, but not sure.

Have a great day.

eBay is rolling out a feature that will do something similar to what you want to do. Rather than a percentage, you will be able to lower the price by a certain dollar amount every X amount of days or weeks.

This thread will give you an idea of what it is like. All sellers do not have it yet. To see if you do, when you create a listing, look for the butting that says "Pricing Options." This is located just above the box where eBay gives you the information on "sold listings" for the item you are listing. If you have this new feature, there will be a button to turn it on once you open up "Pricing Options." If it isn't there, you will have to wait until they roll it  out to everybody. I've not heard any updates on when that may be.

Another way to do it and for you to have more control is to create a story category using a date code. I do quarterly store categories. For example, Q1 2025, Q2 2025, etc. Unlike you though, I do not use Store Categories publically, so if you went this way then those categories would be available publically unless you went back to using eBay store categories. But - you will easily be able to run staggered sales. They won't be automatic, you will have to update them every 45 days(?), I think.

I'm not a fan of running automatic discounts. I think for most people you end up leaving money on the table.

You have to cherry pick what you want on sale from eBay categories or your store categories.  There is no way to go by date.  The sale feature is under selling tools - discount manager -  create discount - sale event.  When you select the inventory you can see the days on site and go from there.
