how to change my store's default sort to ending soonest

My store's sort order is set to newly listed, so the same listings will be hanging at the top of the list until I add more listings. If I could change the default sort order to ending soonest, then different items would appear at the top of the practically every day. Might be more interesting for my customers. I can not find where this setting is...

I agree this should be determined by the store owner and you are correct it used to be..

I believe your prospective customers can change the sort. eBay has defaults, but the buyer can change how they want to view it (which I often do depending on the purpose of my browsing).

That's what I thought too but I didn't want to comment as I've never subbed to a store..

@curvyshopgirl

The option is in your store settings, I just don't remember exactly where.

Have a great day.

Re: how to change my store's default sort to ending soonest

I found this older post by @dhbookds  From a few years ago.

Maybe that's changed again??

Ebay set it at best match when they changed the stores in May/June.  No way for a seller to reset it.....  the "choices" to change no longer work but they never bothered to remove them.........Buyers/anyone one who is looking can change the sort............

Best match doesn't make a lot of sense for someone who's just entered the store and hasn't had a chance to search for anything yet. So... I guess it's no changeable. Used to be.

Still no way for a seller to permanently change the sort, which does seem to be newly listed as a default now.

They are working on stores now.......changes are supposed to come out later this summer I think I read somewhere.....   hopefully, we will get some functionality back.

Re: how to change my store's default sort to ending soonest

Just been on to eBay help trying to get my landing page listings back to order: ending first or ending last
As 3 days ago NEW YEARS DAY 1st Jan 2023 the list was all mixed up. Well eBay told me to clean my cookies all this done was log me out of everything, but still no joy with my listing ( its unbelievable my listings go from 6 days left, then 1 day left then 5 others ways. Its like the more eBay grows the more its harder to use. I am so disappointed with this.

By landing page do you mean sellers hub/active listings?  On the right side of the page go to the column that says ‘Time left’ and click on the arrow to sort your listings by time left.
