how do i get more people to view my items when they search for them

how come when i type in the exact header for one of my listings in the search bar it doesnt find any matches?

Indexing can take up to 24 hours; how long ago did you start the listing? What's the listing title?

I actually had a discussion with a customer Rep yesterday regarding this same thing.  I was typing in the main search bar for one of my items and I could not find it. The rep told me to log out of ebay and then do the search. Sure enough there was my item. He explained that ebay doesn't think you would be buying your own item while logged in.  He also told me if you just put the item number in the main search bar, your item will show.  I did this several times and it works.
