I sold an unopened authentic designer toys to a buyer. And now he opened it and said I sold a fake toys to him.

Ask for return and refund. eBay approve his request. And I got so mad. I think he was exchanged my authentic toys with his fake toys. Can you guys help me how to resolve this matter. eBays had already took $1000.00 from this sale. If I really need to refund him. I lost my toys, my money. really really sad.

I see the buyer had it checked and decided to keep it.

Have a great day.

I didn't see a toy sold for $1000.+ maybe I am not seeing it.

And not sure what are 'designer toys'...made for a specific person or event.

Has the return arrived to you?   To what city/state did you ship this in the first place?

I  don't really see any sold product in your sold items that would generate a $1k eBay fee, but I could be mistaken.

Generally speaking, the 'return' process on eBay is automated. Buyers are not required to substantiate their claims for "not as described" (i.e. fake/counterfeit)  and can send back anything they like. The refund will be taken from you anyway.  It is part of doing business on this website and why we advise others to NOT sell anything here that you can not afford to lose and pay extra to just maybe get it back.

The Item title starts with OriginalFake? That is strange even if it is on the box labeled that way.

Odd to me as well. I googled it to see what that was about.

Many high end toy designers pair up with hipster clothing brands to issue toys that end up becoming ridiculously expensive and highly sought.

This original version rude little fella currently goes for about 200 bucks (retail 34.99) and he's from a very niche line of clothing (RipNDip) and toys (YouTooz).

I now see it...a box(s).

You sold a box.

I would have opened it to see what is in them.

We can't see what's inside.

What is fake from original/fake?

Who's to say it wasn't fake inside to begin with?

Did you send a Return Shipping Label immediately to the buyer?

If you did not, eBay may send one, and you will get a Defect for not cooperating with the Claim.
If you  did not, eBay may refund them without requiring a return, if you have a No Returns policy.

Which is why experienced sellers advise not to have such a policy.

Was the toy returned?

Did you refund immediately on receiving it?

If you did not, eBay will refund them, and you will get a Defect for not cooperating with the Claim.

What provenance do you have on the "genuine" toy? You may need to appeal the decision and those receipts will be very important.

It's pretty standard to NOT open sealed boxes with collectibles and high end toys.  Buyers in this market know what they're supposed to be getting.

The seller will have to establish provenance however when the time comes.

The kind of branding that would appeal to "edgelords".

More important is how you dealt with the return and the refund.
