“good til canceled” is the worse experience for me, and I think it's going to affect the very very negative on eBay in short and long terms, I'm sorry!!

Trust all your trade show are  inside & have plenty of A/C.  Live in  Waco for and  Central Texas temps  can be brutal.  Last  year in Waco temps were 107  for 2 weeks adn coudln't go in Lake Waco or Belton because of amembas.

I remind customer service at the very instant that i sense an unhelpful tone, is that they are not in any way hired to police(even if i suspect they are coached so) us, since we are the sales reps for EBay. My call is for support, because their computers acted as strict police, and they are the humans that can fix the overreach, i remind them, and stating it's a request for support, no need for additional justice from customer support. It works if you stay the course, Just a suggestion. Ramon

Welp, the time has come for me to decide other avenues. I have been on eBay since 97. I don't mind paying fees if I have sales. So, planning on taking all my books on Crafting, Cooking and Art and bringing them over to Etsy. Will keep history oriented material here on eBay. I still will need to pay fees but hoping that there will be more of an audience there for my crafting type books. Have had a dormant account there for awhile that will now become active again. Need to get my books down to about 150 volumes so I can still be under the free listings with a basic store. My more expensive books will go on my website along with some others.

Not giving up on eBay, it just hasn't been the income producer it used to be. Some of the reasons are the competitors being more competitive with eBay. Customers buying habits changing etc.

 I'm out of "free" listings, so today am ending 95 of my listings so I don't get charged relisting frees.

 The GTC policy does not help many (perhaps most) sellers.  I feel it is a transparent grab for more listing fees.

You are correct in doing that. The only thing eBay did by changing the GTC policy is give themselves the ability to charge relisting fees more often on stores. eBay's mantra is that "without buyers there will be no sellers". That is 100% backwards. If there are no sellers there will be no buyers and eBay will not make any money. They need to learn that WE are their bread and butter not the buyers that they cater to all the time.

I'm making much less money on Ebay and thus not buying anything on ebay - can't afford it.

I am with you on this.  I have to set the calendar to remember to cancel items before they are relisted.  It was easier when I could set the days for what suited me and not just what suits eBay.  Some items I would set for a certain length because I wanted them to end before a popup store event.  With so many changes continuing to benefit the few, I will most likely be going back to the FREE only postings.

Well, the difference is that etsy is all about the seller and selling, quite unlike eBay.

Esty is a good choice for selling online. I have been testing it out for a while and the results have been good.
