Why is it the sellers responsibility to leave feedback first, I think it should be buyer first. I got tired of leaving feedback first then basically having to almost beg for feedback, so I quit doing it

I vaguely remember the Phanoto ID - some sort recurring disquisition about feedback, then they'd revisit the thread about once a month and revive it with more talk? I recall when they came back like six weeks (instead of about a month) after their last post one of the posters here said "It's now March. You're late." Just cracked me up.

Unless I have some reason to suspect a buyer will do something antagonistic (which is exceptionally rare for my clientele), I always leave feedback right after printing the shipping label. My thinking is: a seller knows everything there is to know about the transaction as soon as payment is made. So it makes sense for a seller to leave FB first. And because it's meaningless, I don't use it for feedback - I use it to identify the item, the shipping method, and the shipping date (for the buyer's benefit AND mine).

A buyer MUST wait for the package to arrive, and then to make sure it's as-described. So a buyer can't leave accurate feedback for days or weeks after a seller could.

Consequently; as a buyer, I don't leave positive feedback for a seller unless I've already received it. Of course, I'll leave neg/neut as soon as I have a reason to, regardless if I've already received any.
