Enough is enough. After being on here since the year this site came online, i am done with this garbage. Both selling and buying. No way to search listings without getting page after page of some chinese "company" drop shipping out of a warehouse, posting thousands of listings for the exact same item and never ending scams where things just happen to be "out of stock" but you have to wait for at least 2 weeks to get a refund if you ever get one at all. Then on the selling side, you sell something used, people then want to complain because it isnt new or have simple old buyers remorse because they change their mind or see something they like better and want to return it even though it is marked "no returns". Then even if you do get in touch with the buyer, agree to take it back except they pay the shipping, ebay charges you for a label anyway and when you try to use this idiotic "customer service" routine they have, it just goes in circles. And this is AFTER they have jacked up seller fees repeatedly. I am done. There are other places to buy and sell things that are much better than what this place has turned into. They want this cheap crap then let them have it.

Wishing you all the best and a Happy Holiday Season. Take care!

I'll address this seller issue. To qualify my response... I happen to think that 'No Returns' is the very worst of our choices, so I use 30-Day (Buyer pays) Returns.
I am one who finds that if an item sells once, it will sell again. Of the two Returns I've had this year, both were honest remorse returns. I approved them, paid for no return shipping label and refunded them for the item's price (less original s&h) upon the return of the items to me. Those two items have since sold to the right buyers.
With a 'No Returns' policy, it's true that you have one thing that I don't... the option to deny a remorse Return. And if your buyer goes to PayPal, you have that option. But if your buyer decides to go to the CC they paid with... you'll be refunding in full (without a return of your item) and will pay another $20 for the claim.
If you've been in touch with your buyer and they're onboard with paying return shipping, I'd advise them to open the Return. You'll not have to refund until the item makes it back to you, and you can deduct the $34.45 s&h (assuming it's the recent Harley Springer) from the refund.
You've got a sweet item that will sell again (IMO) and I'd offer that the good nights' sleep is worth accepting the Return. Good luck, however you decide to proceed.

Fyi, Ebay came 'online' in 1995, not 2000.

i didnt say it came online in 2000 but thanks for the snide reply.

they have already initiated the return, which is what we agreed to. What they havent done is ship the item so now ebay is hitting me again for shipping. If i were selling new items, it would be different, but when it's used, and not only used but likely 40-50 years old it's a different story. Yes, it will sell again, and likely for even more than this time but it's the principal. Most likely, i will be out the original amount, the original shipping, the additional return shipping and the item itself because that is the way ebay operates now. It didnt use to be this way back before it changed ownership. I can just sell locally through other sites and events. Sales are always increased there because it is a limited time, it's "get it now or its gone" and the setup charges are nothing compared to ebays new fee structure.

You wrote 'After being on here since the year this site came online,' and your account shows it was created in 2000. Ebay started years earlier.
Your Feedback Left for Others is one nightmare after another. Most of it seems to involve you buying some piece of junk from China and then complaining that it didnt meet your expectations. While that may be true you seem to be buying junk over and over without learning from the experience about how to vet a seller and know good ones from bad ones. Especially look at their feedback before you order and see what other buyers say about them. You should probably buy those things in person at a bricks and mortar place. Perhaps Ebay is not for you.

hey have already initiated the return,
Good

If this is a Not As Described dispute, the seller normally pays for the return.
If i were selling new items, it would be different, but when it's used, and not only used but likely 40-50 years old it's a different story.
Old or new, used or mint, we are responsible for Describing our products accurately. I've sold items that are over 170 years old with no problems, because the Description was accurate.

Principle.
And yes, being in business entails have expenses.
Some expenses are also tax deductions.
It didnt use to be this way back before it changed ownership.
EBay has not changed ownership, except to the extent that shareholders buy and sell shares all the time.
The executive suite staff are employees.
You joined in 2000, five years after eBay went online.
I
Sorry about the big blue box. I don't see how to get rid of it.

^^^ This makes me think they've opened a NAD Return, not one for a remorse reason.
Yes, it will sell again, and likely for even more than this time but it's the principal.
^^^ I'm pretty selfish. Satisfy me with cash on a selling site. I have to just get over the 'principle' part sometimes.
Most likely, i will be out the original amount, the original shipping, the additional return shipping and the item itself because that is the way ebay operates now.
^^^ All I can offer is that a Return has never worked that way for me. Never know what's at the next fork in the road, though.

Exactly. Some rah rahs feel the need to chime in so eBay sees they are doing their job for eBay.

You are 100% correct on every point. Not sure where you are going. Ebay has most of us trapped with thousands of free listings. Part of their evil plan. Good luck.

@allen1853 Are you saying Ebay will not let you stop selling here even though you say they are evil?

Ebay cheerleader here.
I could address your issues one by one but no sense wasting your (or my) time.
It sounds like you already got your mind made up.
Sorry to see you go.
Best of luck to you in the future.

I have never felt "trapped" on eBay and diversified across multiple platforms long ago. As for the free listings of which I get 250 a month there are months that go by where I don't even use those on this site anymore.
