Did you get a request to change the address?
Are you dealing withe the "actual buyer", or were you messaged by a scammer????
That is the 1st thing to be determined.

Is this a simple and minor edit (spelling error, adding a unit/Apt # etc) or something more radical (actually changing the address)?
Normally minor changes/corrections would be made when you print the label, more extensive changes in general should not be made at all.

If they ask to change an address you need to cancel the sale.
If there is a problem with the delivery you will not come out on the winning side if
it was not shipped to the address that came from eBay when they purchased the item.

You don't. It's the buyers responsibility to make sure their account information is accurate. Contact the buyer, through eBay channels, and let them know they need to update their shipping address. My assumption is you cannot create a label to ship the item to the buyer based on his/her current address tied to their account.

If you change address buyer can claim "never received item" and you will be liable. Best to cancel transaction and have customer purchase again using correct address.

as others have said. its not your job to do that
buyers are in charge of the address.....not the seller
you can wait for the item to be returned and keep the shipping and refund the buyer and just start over

Greetings,
If you changed the address on your side, you should have gotten a small warning message from ebay that popped up saying changing the address would not protect you if something went wrong.
As some others have said responding to this, you will not be protected if the buyer claims did not receive, etc, etc......even though you were able to change the address on your side.
It is the buyer's responsibility to change the address from their side.
Hopefully it should be alright, but if something happens, then you will know. Never change the address of the buyer.......let them do it.
Stay safe and well..........And, Happy Holidays!
Regards!

To change your own address go to https://accountsettings.ebay.com/uas/addresses and change all the applicable spots there (most sellers have the same address in every spot but some use different ones for shipping/returns, etc, so you have to change each one separately).
