if this group is going to try and help you out...we might need some more detailed information besides not fair, especially if you supplied the tracking information after you were informed by ebay that the buyer did not receive the item. Once ebay got the "Delivered" status, they should have supported you.

Did you load the Tracking # into the INR case... assuming there was one opened?

You haven't supplied enough information to go on. Did the tracking state the package was delivered, or did you simply show proof you mailed it? It would not be fair to the buyer to pay for something that was never actually delivered, but because you haven't provided enough information this is only a guess....

What exactly is this proof you are referring to? I hope you don't say a receipt from the PO counter when you paid for postage. Sometimes people believe that to be proof when all it is is a receipt of your purchase.
It doesn't always show a tracking number, which is what you need to indicate that it is delivered, not "on it's way".

Well then you now know why the buyer was refunded. Would it be fair for the buyer to be out their money because you mailed the item, but it was lost? Sellers are responsible for the delivery of the item, not the mailing of it. Best of luck to you....

Because ebay would say, you personally chose the USPS when you could have gone with other carriers available. And why are you assuming the post office screwed up? All you said was package is on it's way.

Because that is the policy on this platform. Sellers are responsible for the delivery of all sold items. It is YOUR responsibility that you agreed to when you accepted the term to sell on this platform. It is absolutely fair and if you were the buyer you would understand....

Okay, so what does the latest tracking scan show, and when did it occur? Was it sent to the address you received with the payment?
Although the buyer has been refunded, it still may be possible to file an intercept request with USPS to have it returned to you (assuming that it reappears, and not too much time has gone by). Give us a bit more detail for context please.

The only acceptable proof of mailing is a tracking number. If you used a tracking number then it would show the date that it was delivered and eBay would have decided in your favor. It is possible that a porch pirate took the package and the buyer thinks that you didn't send it out.
