I understand your angst.......none of us wants scammers on site or off, but you are going to have to present any evidence more clearly that these sites are scammers and that they are connected somehow to ebay..........

...and, for that matter, even if they are scammers (and I have seen plenty of similar ones in the past), there is no connection to eBay and little to nothing that eBay could do about it.

It's the nature of how website software works: it delivers text and images for viewing on other computers. If that other viewer wants to save the text and images to use some other way (such as to set up a fake website of his own), that does not mean that the original website (eBay, in this case) has anything to do with it, or anything they can do about it. Scam sites are going to pop up using either home-made content or material they copied from somewhere else.

The bottom line is that every eBay listing has photos and descriptions that can be copied and used for other purposes, but that is no different than when eBay sellers copy photos and descriptions themselves from manufacturers' websites. (I don't think manufacturers are very happy about that either.)

Buyers need to have common sense about where they spend their money, and use a form of payment such as a credit card that gives them an option to file a chargeback and recover their funds if they're the victims of a scam website.

Well, I don't see how ebay can stop them, as AC says.......  There must be international police sites that can be notified......Interpol or some such......FOR FRAUD.......if that's happening....  You're not going to get them for copying product data from sites..........

Re: ebay product data is hacked by spam sites

Guys ,

Those spam sites are all new they built it February 2019 , I only found some reviews listed below .Yes eBay has no connection not and not any links on their spam sites  , but they find a way to copy 10000 may be more products listing from ebay which are mostly hot sales and listed them on their web pages not copy and paste they find a way to get product datas from eBay . They also hacked many innocent web site and redirect them to the spam shop When you type the products on Google the web sites which are hacked are appear at the top 10 result when click those sites they redirected to them .

Seems like few people are cheated for now because they are all new but in future there will many people got cheated  because they find the price better than ebay and all sites looks like real and they start order from them .

I have contacted ebay make a spam report also US pishing site department also the hosting company of them also try to reach every hacked web pages some of them remove the redirected hacked urls some are not .

All i want is let protect people against them and keep the web safe .

They copied my 10 products those products are listed on them top 10 results on Google search .Unless we find a way stop these people many people got trouble .

Reviews of the one the of them are listed below;

https://www.safe.shop/uk-en/profiles/4300/mattia

https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/lawcomall.com

I am sure we will see more reviews in future unless we find a way against them.

Hope I explained the issue well..

First of all, they may be scam sites, but they are not spam sites. Spam is unsolicited broadcast email, and nothing of what we're discussing here has anything to do with spam.

It also has nothing to do with hacking eBay. There is no security flaw involved in simply downloading and storing a whole lot of auction listings. A simple script is all that's required to pull up listings from eBay (or any other auction site) and store them on another computer for later reuse. 10,000 listings can be copied as fast as your Internet connection can download them for viewing. A computer can do that without breathing hard.

Finally, those dubious websites are new because the older ones did get detected and deleted by their hosting sites. The scammers just set up new ones (they have scripts to do that, too) and keep on going. Again, none of this has anything to do with eBay, etsy, Amazon, or wherever else those listings might be copied from. If you want to keep whacking away at the scam sites, go right ahead, but the way to do that is to contact their hosting companies, not eBay. Good luck.

@cevik-int   You think Hackers are bad now ... just wait until Managed Payments is rolled out across the site ... Good-Bye Personal Information & Hello Identity Theft on a massive scale ...
