ebay keeps changing my listings to free shipping

Ebay keeps changing my listings to free shipping.  A few weeks ago I noticed Ebay had changed all my listings to free shipping.  I did a mass edit and corrected it.  I used some of the corrected listings as templates for new listings.  Added the shipping details, checked the calculated shipping boxes on each new listing, checked them after listing them, and all showed a calculated shipping cost. That was 2 days ago. Today I checked and the new listings had all been changed to "free shipping".   The mass edited older listings are still ok; charging shipping.  Anyone else have this issue or know how to stop this insanity?

Are you posting using an App or a browser?  Do you offer Local Pickup?  Are you editing the listing after it's live with an app?  There have been issues with the apps and issues with Local Pickup.

I’m posting through Google Chrome on my laptop.  I am not changing kit altering after I post the items.  The setting changes only after the item has been automatically re-posted when it does not sell.

brian@ebay Hi Brian, there was a couple reports of this happening early in May, and now again late in May.  Why would the auction listing change the Free Shipping status when it auto-renews?

@zipgun_77 can you confirm that these are Auctions that are on an auto-renew and not Good Till Cancelled listings?

Hi. Thank you for posting. I just experienced the same thing. This morning all were find. I sold something and it said free shipping. I do not do free shipping. No one is answering ebay phones. Go to ebay.com. Help. Shipping. Scroll to near bottom contact us. Chat. Click start chat. They answered in two min. They made sure i changed them correctly. I Told them problem was on their end. Also i looked at unsold items because it should have had my old listing. It was also changed to free shipping. Also as you said the package delivery information was wrong. Smaller and lighter than delivery info i had put in originally. Everyone. Please check your lusting and package size information and complain to ebay.

For some reason, some auctions have been changing to free shipping.

This has been happening for a few weeks now.

Somewhere in your site / seller preference settings you can specify all kinds of default settings, what method you wish to use for shipping is in there as well so yeah... Might be under business policies, so once again here "ebay" is doing sneaky things but it's your settings / preferences / policies telling it to.
