NO listings within the View Item listing itself, 25 listings (5 rows of 5 each) BENEATH the listing (click to enlarge the screen cap):

@my-cottage-books-and-antiques I have the "new" view back again in one browser and noticed something today I thought you'd find interesting - they have started to put PL in the mix for the "You May Also Like" section and they are clearly marked as sponsored.
Everything else was pretty much as we were seeing it before:
Large main image and seller info/buy it now etc in the 2 column view
2 rows of scrolling PL ad carousels
Description
Feedback module
25 "You May Also Like" listings (no other scrolling modules or sections for other items).

I am noticing today that the way the new two-column item view scrolls has changed. Before the photo was locked and the 2nd column continued to scroll as I moved down the page. Now the photo and second column scroll together as I move down the page.
In the original test back in May the plan was to move the item specifics and description up to the area that is now showing "Similar Sponsored Items".

@mcdougle4248 interesting! In the two column view I have right now it's still the photo locked and second column continuing to scroll.

What i am seeing is that the pictures start to scroll for about an inch of screen , then lock as the right side panel scrolls to the bottom, then when the right side panel reaches the bottom the whole page scrolls again, leaving the picture to disappear as you would expect.
Although the biggest and most glaring design flaw is that when you scroll down you are still met with 2 rows of promoted listings INSTEAD of what the buyer expects to see- THE SELLER DESCRIPTION!!!!!!
Who really cares about the way it scrolls if ebay is hell bent on hiding the description- Common sense says that if you make the listing page easy to understand and informative and simple to navigate- buyer conversion will increase. Making it more confusing and forcing buyers to needlessly scroll through paid ads to find the info they need is obviously causing friction to the buying process! Data supports this- consider when ebay started to lose buyers and sellers at record rates( far more than the steady decline)......... Several years ago when all these "improvements" where put into place.

The screenshots were with using Chrome. I switched to Firefox, the photo is locked and the second column scrolls. I guess they are STILL testing.
