ebay 110% price match on prime monday

I was having my morning coffee and wiskey chaser, watching the news.

They said today would be one of the largest online selling days.

All the big box stores were running sales to match prime.

Then they said something that made wiskey shoot out of my nose ( it burns )

ebay would do a 110% price match... I ain't good with math, but what...

My wife, who knows nothing about ebay, knows that all ebay sells is boxes and bubble wrap.

Dear, I said, when you have nothing for sale, you can make any wild claim.

I see she said, like the sign at the pub "free beer tomorrow"

You & upper eBay management both took shots of wiskey this morning.

Poor eBay.  The place where no good deed goes unpunished.

Oh, yeah.........some buyers are going to read that as 110% of the PRICE, not of the price DIFFERENCE.........

groc stores tried it years ago...but as I remember they "matched" the competitor price........ you had to drag in the ad or the item.....  didn't work too well, I don't think.........  but it might be good publicity.

eBay doesn't even sell bubblewrap and boxes!  It's a third party seller --- just like all the rest of us --- who sells under the moniker "ebayshippingsupplies".  eBay only rents its online platform out, nothing else.
