We had a customer/scammer leave us a negative review. They not only sent us an empty box back for the return, but the item box they sent back wasn't even ours as the serial numbers didn't match up to what we sent them. eBay has stated numerous times now that they believe that scammers are what make eBay so great and why we should continue to sell more and more each day on Amazon. Hopefully, eBay will one day come to its senses and remove the review. Since we have hundreds of great sales each month and video footage of the return being opened.

If you offererd free 30 day returns as an above average seller
Or 30 days not free returns as a top rated seller.
You could have issued a 50% deduction from the refund for empty box and it should have taken care of the feedback.
These are pretty much your options. I didn't look at your return settings but if you are a no returns seller then you give up your protections.

I've never seen or heard eBay saying that the scammers are what makes eBay great.
Is the negative for the Birkenstock shoes? There is a neg there but no comment.

You stated in your feedback response:
"............because you sent it out sealed....."
Really?
I know YOU know that you are correct; but....
Do you NOT think that there are MILLIONS of Brand New things that are 'defective' when you take it home, even if purchased right up the street at your local Walmart, Home Depot etc.?
I know I have, at least 100 times in 50 years of local retail purchases.
Also; I would like to know where you got that 'ebay said about scammers'- was it here on the forum (they aren't here); was it on the 'internet'? (because EVERYTHING on the internet is true..... of course not).
You have to realize- there is NO proof that what you opened is the item they sent you.

All the things you claim the scammer did, he's saying the same about you.
How do we (or ebay) know who's telling the truth?

Or file a theft report and eBay becomes an accessory.

eBay was not there to observe what you shipped, what the buyer received, or what the buyer returned. So unfortunately, your video does not prove anything to anyone except you. I could create a video making it appear that a buyer returned a human baby if I really wanted to.
eBay had to choose whether to favor buyers or favor sellers, so they made the choice that benefitted eBay.

Happy to try and help you if we can, but posting incorrect information is not the way to make anyone want help you. It doesn't help anyone, least of all you.

When you sell items with a s/n take a photo of the s/n label or stamping and put it in your written description to CYA. Sold used 35 mm Canon and Leica cameras and other items w/s/n s, did what I just typed above. Never had an issue. Life is good.

Sorry for your situation. Since it looks like you are a drop shipper given your stock photos, my guess is that you didn't have any idea if the item was defective or not, because you personally didn't ship it. Your vendor did, so it may have very well not worked out for the buyer. I doubt the comment will be removed and as far as scamming goes, the buyer was only being honest about the items condition and there's no way you can prove otherwise. Sorry.
