Hello community,
eBay uses unfriendly politics against Sellers - charging high fees, rules and conditions are extremely complicated and non-transparent, you never know what final fee you will be paying at the end. Web is so user-unfriendly for sellers that it cant be worse. Plus, eBay does not improve itself - the customer care is just terrible for a long time and they do nothing about it. They do nothing about crazy complexity of different options on their website instead of making it simple and easy. They do nothing about to unite fees for every seller (same transparent easy calculated fees for every seller) but they care about taking their high fees asap. What is your opinion? Do you agree or am I wrong? I am very upset on eBay and would switch to a different platform asap if there would be an alternative. Do you know any alternative website with a decent user base? Thank you.

Is 10% from usually used items a good fee according to you?

"I am sorry but it is not a truth there are comments from the eBay CS, I am sure about it."
Well, if you are sure about this or anything else, it must be true. For you.
I am sure that none of the people who have responded to this post or your other post are employed by eBay.
Therefore, that is a truth to me and for me.

Not sure where you're getting 10%. I'm perfectly happy with the 13.25% fee in most categories, and so are most of us here. Would we like them to be lower? Sure, we're all in this to make money, but so is eBay, and the fee is quite reasonable.

If I were so inclined, I could take a ledger pad & write a very long list of everything about Ebay that could be improved.
In this Season in which we try in earnest to give thanks for what we have (and what we aspire to!) why not take out a ledger pad & write a very long list of everything that ranges from acceptable to outstanding about Ebay?
It is not perfect, but it is special & I appreciate that it exists.

I would love to see the list of things you love about eBay. Do you love the settings on the eBay website? Have you tried to change there anything? For me, It is very hard to write a short list of pros on eBay. It just benefit from zero competition on the market, otherwise it would get better overnight. Thank you.

I am aware of NO major Internet marketplace with significant traffic which charges only a 0% fee, Maybe there is one in the Czech Republic, but I doubt it. Traffic is what justifies the marketplace fees. Ebay is about the lowest traffic of the major Internet marketplaces.

We have 3 marketplaces (worth mentioning) with 0% fees in the Czech Republic. They charge you only for adds - listings on the top etc. but you do not have to pay it. Unfortunatelly, eBay went so high with fees that even I am able to sell it for more on eBay, I get less or same like when I sell it in a small czech market (10 million people). I see future in Vinted. It could be a platform without the issues and non sense fees that eBay has.

I have to point out that all the 3 marketplaces are profitable just with adds fee (they are for long on the market). Ebay takes 10% like nothing from a usually USED items where the profit is even lower. In my perspective it doesnt make sense, they just exploit the market dominance.

10% would be a great fee!!!
Unfortunately ebay charges 13.25 % on most items.
Ebay posts their fees up front for everyone to see.
Knowing this, I decided to accept their fees and sell here.

Pilgrim walks into the bar. Approaches a poker table and asks the dealer, "Is this an honest game?"
Dealer thinks and says, "No. But it's the only game in town. Have a seat."

I was thinking about it because there is a gap on the market. It is actually a perfect business idea!
