Did you mean:

eBay shipping supplies no longer takes paypal.

This seller accepts payments through eBay’s new managed payments experience.
PayPal is not yet available, but you can pay securely with a credit or debit card.

I have tons of money in my paypal, I do NOT wish to use my credit/debit card. What kind of nonsense is this?

eBay shipping supplies no longer takes paypal.

This initial phase of Managed Payments does not allow sellers to offer Paypal; supposedly Paypal will be available from those sellers in the summer of 2019.

Naturally Ebay shipping supplies is in Managed Payments.

This has been noted in several posts.  You can get a free debit card from Paypal and use that to pay for items in managed payments.  AND if you get the business one you get 1% cash back on all purchases.

Credit cards offer the potential of cash back and added layers of protection, why would you not use one?

If you are opposed to credit cards on principle, use a debit card, it's essentially the same a paying by check or cash.

What do you do when dealing with online merchants that don't accept PayPal, what about bricks & mortar?

Why have "tons of money" in your PayPal account? It pays no interest!

Get a PayPal debit card, then you can draw directly from your PayPal account.

The eBay supplies store seller is an independant seller just like you and I.  They decided to save on processing fees by opting into the eBay managed payments.

It seems to make a lot of sense to me because probably 99% of there business is from sellers who are using a store coupon and then paying what ever extra the total is over the coupon amount.

I do not think that this seller will lose much business because of not having Paypal available during the early testing time frame.  The products are for eBay sellers not the general public.

Good Luck Selling!

From my own personal viewpoint, it's probably for the best because I'm going to think twice before using any ebay branded boxes in the future. Just about every time I go to the post office with an ebay branded box, someone in line almost always starts up the usual annoying conversation:

"I see you have ebay boxes. Do you sell on ebay?"

or ...  "So you're an ebayer, too. What's your ebay name? I'll check out your listings."

or ...  "Where did you get those ebay boxes? Do they sell them around here?"

or ...   "Hey there, friend! I didn't know you sold on ebay! Do you have any jewelry you're selling? Let me know and maybe I'll stop by your house and check it out!"

Hahaha, good one! I'm surprised I haven't gotten that one yet. A few weeks ago when I got the "Do you sell on ebay?" question, I politely answered, "Just dropping them off for someone." And before they could ask me who I was dropping them off for, I changed the subject and asked them how they liked the change in the weather. 😉

In other words the branded boxes are doing EXACTLY what they are intended to do.....promote eBay as a shopping (or selling) destination.

Just use your Paypal debit card, problem solved. If you don't already have one, you should get one, they're free.

If that's the case, why is eBay forcing us to use the coupon at this store? You can buy the same items, minus the 'eBay' info plastered all over it, a whole lot cheaper, then we have to go to the additional steps to overpay this seller using something other than PayPal. The word that comes to me is '**bleep**'.
