Hi folks- I've been active on eBay as a buyer and seller for 25+ years. About 2 days ago I noticed that the total amount of feedback I've received dropped from 15,000+ to 5000 and the feedback I've left for others dropped from 25,000+ to 11,000. I checked the last feedback posted as a buyer and it is barely more than a year ago, the previous 23+ years has disappeared, and the same seems to be with the feedback as a seller. The feedback as a seller is most important as I am now active as a full-time seller, I have lots of repeat customers I sometimes check on by looking at old feedback to see what they have bought before (more than 1/2 years ago). + I want potential customers to see the total amount of feedback I've received. This is not an option now.
Is anyone else having this problem? I have checked the feedback of some of the vendors I buy from and some of my customers, but I can't really tell if anyone else but me is impacted by this.
Is this a glitch just to me, is this a systemwide glitch, or a new policy of eBay to delete all older (1/2 years) feedback received and feedback left? Any input about this would be appreciated.

Thanks Devon, I checked a non poster and at first no change. Click on most recent and was correct.....went back to relevant and then was correct there also....

You and she were talking about / looking at different things.
Bottom line is all the FB is there, but when you use 'most relevant' it's a filter with fewer pages to scroll through. That's how it's supposed to work and how it's worked for years. Nobody cares about my feedback from 10 years ago, eBay can hide it based on relevance, that's fine with me. Nobody cares about my feedback from 10 days ago where the buyer just said "thanks" - again, eBay can hide it based on relevance, good with me. It's there in the most recent sort for those that want to see it. The feedback number displayed under "all feedback received" doesn't change with most relevant, just the amount displayed. Not news and not a problem, in my opinion.
Kim was looking at the FB number (which doesn't change) and didn't scroll through the pages (evidenced by the arrow being bold in her screenshot). She's saying the number doesn't change regardless of relevant/recent which is correct and how it's supposed to work. She's also saying the FB number is smaller than it should be on her view. On my view I can see all of her 24,734 Feedback received. Just refreshed before posting this and now her number is back to normal on her view, too.
@wastingtime101 well that will teach me to try to multi-task on a Friday afternoon when my brain is obviously ready for the weekend. 😂
I clearly missed what the actual problem was here...don't mind me, carry on everyone. 😉

Don't worry, you didn't miss anything. It was essentially a non-problem with no impact that was fixed before you could even see what happened. 😂

...The roll out on this change is variable, at this point. On my old selling ID, which I've had more than 20 years, there is no feedback left before 12 months ago. All selling feedback is gone, all that is left is 16 feedbacks from the past year.
Well, that was the case earlier tonight.
At this point, all my feedback is back, 782 comments. I did lose a few when the users were kicked off years back, and eBay removed their feedback because of it ... that's how the rules worked at the point ... I think I lost my only negative that way.
ETA: OK, I'm apparently the last one to notice that this has been fixed.

Sorry but it's two weeks later and our feedback for all accounts is still messed up - this IDs oldest 'all feedback received' is from 12/13/2020

Your feedback looks like it's all there to me @steve_stuff . I think this is just user error. You are not changing the default "most relevant" sort to "most recent." On the top right change the sort filter.

I just wanted to update this as well.
I did a thorough look through on my account. Any and all feedback for every section of the feedback (All received, as a buyer, as a seller, etc) have all had older feedback removed. Its very easy to see too.
For example:
214 visible out of 332. (which is really sad, considering I have sold nearly 750 items)
161 visible out of 533 feedback as a buyer.
Yet here its 627 out of 627. However its not ALL the feedback I have ever left. This should be at or over a 1000. And the oldest one is about 4-5 years ago.
And here its 175 visible out of 877 as a total. So yeah. Something has definitely changed. lol

See my last post @gator08041971 . I can see all of your feedback when I sort by "most recent."

These are with Most Recent selected. I never use Relevant because I think that option is garbage.
Though now it shows a different value, despite me doing nothing but refreshing the page. 375 out of 877.
What is the oldest one you can see?

Are you sure? Because the "most recent" filter won't stick, nor will the # displayed per page. You have to keep selecting it when you switch tabs.
This is what I see when viewing your FB by "most recent":
This is what I see when viewing your FB by "most relevant."

I have tried it multiple times. It doesn't make any difference. And I have tried changing it and changing it back. I get the same values, regardless if I use Recent or Relevant. And yes, my profile defaults to Recent, but when looking at other accounts they default to Relevant.

I posted screenshots of what I see with both most recent and most relevant sort.

So I opened another browser to ebay (that's not logged in) and looked. And that one matches what you are showing.
So... I'm even more mystified.
If I was really worried about it, I would dig into it more, but honestly it doesn't bother me and since its apparently all still there I have less to worry about anyway.

OK, just checked this account on different browser [edge] and it shows 26 pages of 'as buyer' - this account's browser [firefox] shows 2 -- Same with 'left' - 154 pages vs zero left.
This is our oldest feedback shown [firefox] when set for 25 a page.
This is set for 200
This is when it was sold - note the sale date and item number.
And this is our feedback left
So it seems that it's showing different on different browsers.
