I just want to start by stating I am not looking to get around or dupe the eBay trust and safety system.
A few months ago a series of events (a sorb story i do not feel is relevant) lead to me not able to login to my eBay or any account. I have finally been able to get to where I can try and salvage what is left of my account. Upon login I am not surprised to find my account has been temporarily restricted from selling. After contacting live support they inform me of an email I am to watch out for to begin the process. This evening I was happy to see said message that requests a few documents. 1 of which is invoices for purchases of items I will be selling on eBay.
Things to note I am a very low volume seller I think the most I sold in 1 month was $1000 with an average of maybe $300. In the past my 3 most common items were 1) wild foraged/Harvested (by myself) Mormon tea &/or Mormon tea seeds. 2) rebuild kit for vintage catalytic hand warmers. Which has multiple components (like wire to custom make springs) upwards t that I have invoices for but nothing recent as I have to purchase in bulk and it takes me some time to go through it. 3) are along the lines of the previous. I purchase lots/non working vtg Jon-ē Hand warmers off of eBay then rebuild them. Jon-ē has been defunct for decades and no licencing issues (I have checked). These are very niche when last I checked I was the only seller in the US although there is a gentleman in Canada selling some components.
Is there a way to show invoices for these items? Although I was not planning on listing them for a while I have purchased some newly manufactured units from overseas (AliExpress and eBay) that I rebuild and upgrade. Would that be of any help to my case if I change to selling those instead I suppose? 11 month old invoice dates for components be an issue? Last issue is that being in a rural area the entire county (which I quite large area wise) does not have mail delivered to their home address, every household has a free PO Box at the post office (so small that my PO box is only 2 digits) but our state ID must have our physical address.
I know that some if not all of this sounds shady, but I assure you it is not and I feel that I have already lost because it is not just 1 caveat with fulfilling their requirements, it's seems like it's on every turn.
Correct me if I am wrong here but I am under the impression that customer service can do nothing and I have no way to contact a member of the trust and security department (no way to reply to message sent to me). I honestly don't even care about the funds that are being withheld
Anyways I'm venting and a little panicked if you cannot tell by the run-on sentences and poor grammar. Any advice or recommendations to accomplish this without breaking eBay policies would be great, thank in advance
