Unfortunately, eBay is no longer a viable selling platform for new AUTHENTIC products. Too many counterfeit products which eBay has to be aware of as you can read the counterfeit complaints in the feedback, yet the sellers are allowed to keep selling. Buyers are aware of this. eBay has thrown all its good merchants under the bus and they have left eBay. Last year Amazon did 144 billion in sales. eBay did 9 billion. eBay used to be top dog, now they are a very distant second to Amazon. I can't stand Bezos, but you have tp give him credit on stomping out the competition (eBay). I just put a new best quality product we manufacture in Europe on eBay 2 1/2 days ago.....only 4 views. Put the same product on Amazon at the same time and sold 63 units in 2 1/2 days. Amazon promotes your product, more buyers, better shipping system, etc.. Sad to see, but eBay can't compete, and although their customer service people are very polite, and professional and do the best they can to help, the upper management at eBay are totally incompetent and have no idea how to stop the financial hemmorhaging in sales revenue that is now occurring at eBay. That same management attempts to take advantage the sellers on the eBay platform. We have been on eBay 13 years, have 100% feedback score, top rated seller...and all that means nothing as eBay has become a money losing proposition. Time to move on.

The only products I have ever purchased that turned out to be counterfeit all came from Amazon.

You can't put Ray Ban in the title if the item is not Ray Ban.

You also can't put terms in the listing that contradict the return policy you selected when creating the listing. Lots of other terms that are listing violations and/or not enforcable.

Comparing Ebay to Amazon has never been a fair comparison.  Amazon owns lots and lots of other companies too.  What they earn is not all coming from their site for selling items.  IDK that Ebay was ever above Amazon in sales, in profits yes, but not sales.  At least I don't think so.

What is it that you are seeking to get information on or learn from the community?  Or did you just want to vent a little, which is fine, I'm just asking.

We have only had to return defective and missing parts orders 2 out of the last 2 times..

Comparing eBay to Amazon is like comparing apples to pillows. Amazon would be closer to Walmart but that still is like comparing apples to oranges. Drawing conclusions on non-comparable businesses does not make business sense. Might as well compare eBay to Nike.

1.  FYI seems you have some misinformation in you listing  -

2. Just from my view point - your  listing is really  hard to follow - possibly the reason  you stuff  ain't selling.  I would  do some major clean up - very few will want to read all that stuff.  Plus  eBays policy will trump your written  policies all day  long - read and  understand the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

3.  Was  taught along the way to  avoid red color in  marketing communications - a sign of  aggressiveness and it is harder to read.

It is a good comparison because the upper management at ebay thinks they can turn it into Amazon.....they cannot and will continue to fail until they reverse course.

eBay has plenty of room for improvement. But i have to say that i think the problem with your lack of sales here is not a result of eBay thinking it’s Amazon.

Your listing fields, especially the description, are a more likely culprit. Serious buyers will hit the back button when faced with a seller’s contradictory information, or a wall of text outlining restrictive/non-enforceable Terms of Sale, or keyword spamming that irritatingly wastes their time. Your listing has all three.
