In many categories, ebay allows variations within a listing - but not all categories (why?).
I am trying to list some snowmobile clutching parts in ebay motors.
In this particular category, there is no "Variations" button.
But - there ARE parts where it would be much simpler to list variations.
For example: The rate of various clutch springs, or the grams of various clutch weights.
As ebay is set up right now, I have to list each spring and each weight / weight set one at a time.
This is not efficient for me - or the buyers.
(I think they limit variations because there is a notion that each part is specific to individual vehicles. But that is incorrect - as there are many snowmobiles using the same clutch, and riders/racers like to tweak their performance with different springs & weights for that clutch).
Why not just have the "Variations" button available in ALL categories, and let the sellers & buyers decide what would make the most sense for the listings?
