That is too bad. You will lose the INR [item not received] case because you can't prove you shipped the item. This is a very basic rule on Ebay for sellers.
I understand you are a new seller, often times new sellers don't take the time to learn about the basic rules before they create listings and start selling. Likely thinking they can wing it. But then run into an issue such as this one and then blame it on Ebay, when it simply is because you did not learn the basics of selling.
Hopefully it was not an expensive item. We have all made mistakes, especially in the beginning of our selling careers. The key is to learn from this and move forward, never to repeat this mistake. And to go and learn the basics of selling, otherwise you could end up costing yourself a lot of money.
I hope you have a long and prosperous selling career here.

Did you ship the item with tracking??? I forgot to ask that question.

eBay took money from me for a baseball card that I shipped but didn’t relize I was suppose to provide eBay with the tracking number I give it to the buyer so now they say it never arrived
OK that's one piece of the missing information. So this was a baseball card but I do not see any items you have sold under this account so it's hard to tell what method you used to ship the item. You said you "gave it to the buyer" what exactly do you mean by that. Did they pick it up in person or did you mail the card to them?
If you mailed it what service did you use, USPS, UPS, FedEx? What class of postage did you use ground advantage, priority mail, eBay standard envelope or did you just mail it in an envelope using stamps and no tracking? How much did you sell the card for? Can you provide the item number? How long ago was this?

Are you saying you gave the tracking number to the buyer? If so, go through your messages and find the message in which you told the buyer the number. Then copy and paste the number into the INR claim.

I don't see anything sold on this account.
Maybe it's another account?
Or perhaps another seller who sold something to you.

He probably sent it first class envelope as it was a baseball card. (Which would have been the cheapest way, but we know it does not come with tracking ) without tracking, it’s conceivable they actually didn’t receive it. The USPS has some hocus pocus in their routes, lately. Circling and back tracking..,,kind of a mess.

That is a great idea, however it won't cover him under Seller Protection as the claim was filed first.

Yep....been like that for some time now. Many of the carriers have triple the routes they used to have and there days are long and hard...no doubt. I can put my flag up if I have something that needs to picked up and they'll drive right by. Yet the prices continue to climb. Sad.
