Every morning I turn my computer, there is just more and more nonsense to keep up with ( no classic all sales page, no power sellers, new , useless item specifics, and on and on.. ) I find it all pretty devastating for sellers, according to the message boards too.
Whoever is making all this new platform decisions are alienating / angering sellers. Not improving eBay, on the contrary, no doubt this will hurt eBay in the long run. Such a waste of funds on useless / clueless programmers.
Noticed the search engine is still running with the old format. Or that is more changes coming next ?....

There is a lot of information on the new page. Information that I often forget to check on, but glad when I do.
You can customize the page, merely by clicking on the link (word) that says - wait for it - CUSTOMIZE.
OMG it takes one click more to get the full page that I want.
The Graphical User Interface geniuses don't care about comments from people that haven't given the new page a true chance
eBay is going to do what they are going to do, embrace the new benefits.
ebay has not deleted any of my listings because of a lack of attributes, so who cares.

Cool story. I have 37 items to ship and I have already shipped 30 this week. That doesn't take away from the fact that the changes being made are not very good. I have dozens of friends who have listings that are all messed up because of the category changes. Their traffic is down and their sales are down over the past few days because we believe searches are not finding items as they used to. People cannot even find their own listings when they search for them to see where they show up. They just aren't showing up at all.

Options? Mercari, Shopify, Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Offer Up......I could go on.

Its becoming tougher & tougher to earn a living on ebay. I was doing $9000 a month in sales. But within the span of the past 30 days my sales have dropped to $5000 a month. So I have lost 4 grand, a good portion of which I would have put back into ebay sourcing new inventory. I have opened up a store on another site that only focuses on what I sell, but traffic is no where near what it is here on ebay. So for now, ebay is really the only place for me and the type of items I sell so I have no choice but to roll with the punches.

I'm noticing issues with search too. I sell comics and I did a search for Silver Surfer #36 and 920 active listings popped up. The huge majority of which had nothing to with the individual issue I was looking for. I also did a completed item search for X-Men #1 2019 and over 2,500 items showed up! Search is completely wacked right now.

Earning a living here, let alone consistent sales in a tough nut to crack.
17+ years here- been thru many changes. Never had my listings desecrated like this - not even in the prior category change debacles.
We work FT and try to do e-Bay, River, Mercari. River sales pretty consistent, but we do FBA also. Mercari has been dead 2+ weeks.
I am usually patient about change(s). We have over a thousand listings obliterated. Almost every damb category is missing everything.
So we'd get around to anything new to list, when? Nov?
I thought I understood how insignficant we were as a Seller on this site. This week, Truly learned. We have over 20k in inventory so walking away is not a financially feasible option. Trust me, e-bay knows this. Messed up on so many levels, not sure how to describe it.

although I do make purchases on Amazon, I would never, ever sell there. Years ago, was a seller on Etsy, Bonanza(did very well on both sites for a few years)> that was back when those sites were vibrant, easy to sell on, and had not yet gotten on the GREED bandwagon or the PAY TO PLAY... and BEFORE they became eBay/Amazon wannabes.
eBay forum guidelines do not allow us to recommend sites to others, so cannot openly discuss other sites here.

This is saddening to watch. I have 21 years of selling on Ebay that is now over. I noticed many of the folks who say they had enough have been here this long or longer. Ebay has made the experience of trying to sell on their site too bitter of a pill to swallow.
Best of luck to everyone.
Don't believe these people who think Ebay is too big to go down. I worked at Sears in the 1980s. About 1988 Sears decided they was cutting the sales commissions to where people could not work there and support their families. The first day they implemented that plan was my last day working there. I told the manager that Sears would fail because they would not have long term employees who knew the products they sold and were actually professionals. It is interesting that I lived to see my prediction come true.
My prediction is Ebay will fall too. Ebay cannot survive long treating its sellers the way they are now.
Best Regards,,,,

It's not just a simple thing for some people to pull their inventory and go. Some people have a dozen listings and can just run off to other places without a care in the world. For me I have a store and you can’t get out of that until the year ends or you have to buy out the remainder of the time. I also have 3200 listings and a 20+ year history of sales and feedback with a customer base built in who come back and buy repeatedly. It will take time to phase eBay out and get from under their thumb but I will eventually do it. For now any new items I will be listing simultaneously on eBay and another platform. When I am done with new items I will cut and paste my eBay listings to another platform. When I am done with that I will start listing on a 3rd platform and a 4th and so on. I won't renew my store when the time comes and I will use eBay just for the monthly free listings and eventually I probably won't even do that. There is nothing stopping me from just selling off my own Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube page taking payments through Paypal and Venmo. Regardless of their problems eBay is still one of the better places to sell with the most eyes on your items but I can only put up with so much **bleep**. We really have no control over our own listings. They have proven time and time again that they can just change whatever they want whenever they want without any real care or concern as to how it effects sellers.

I played around a bit... From what I can things come up in search but there's slews of sellers who's items do not come up in browse, this is exactly what I found on my items and hence why my listing views & probably sales have plummeted. I dont know who one would contact about such matters but from what I've read in forums it doesn't matter as one can tell them about problems until the cows come home and the dont care.
But, apparently thats whats going on. If people cant see what your sellin' aint' gonna sell it.

Because Cassini is for ebay to send you the results they want you to see or what sellers pay them to show you.
It isn't so much a search as search manipulation.

I postulated about 10-15 years ago that in its heart-of-hearts, eBay really wants to become Amazon. They don't care about small business sellers - we're just an inconvenience to them. At the time, 98% of the other sellers thought things were fine and I was over-reacting. Now... I'm not sure anyone would argue 😕
Their goal is to be the retail endpoint for Chinese drop-shipments. Period. Remember the buy.com fiasco?
Things get a little worse here, as a seller, every year... so I have diversified the best I can and adjust my selling accordingly. I'm not at my 'Enough of this sh!@t' point yet, but at some point the constant flood of anti-seller policies is going to become too much 😞

I have yet to have a problem with international sales on Etsy. No problems so far in @ 2 years.
International sales problems on eBay? Yep... constantly 😞

they are systematically changing everything that made ebay great.
Make ebay great again!! MEGA !
What is telling is that they are elimanating the very things that made
ebay a success some 25 years ago.
It will no longer be ebay, but in name only.
Perfect oppurtunity for some young upstart to start a new classic auction bidding site,
the way it used to be on ebay.
