In the last year my net sales have gotten significantly lower due to increased eBay fees. Has anyone else experienced this?

No it is not an antiquated way for eBay to charge higher fees. It is eBay’s way to penalize poor performing sellers based on customer service metrics.
Most sellers who complain about the higher fees are the ones being penalized. In my opinion poor performing sellers hurt the above standard and top rated sellers. Buyer’s who have a bad experience will not come back.

Thank you. That had slipped my mind.
And the rest of my answer still applies: When costs go up, the smart seller adjusts his prices to account for that. Pretty sure that's what WalMart and other retailers do.

Also, the op charges shipping to the customer. If the op raised their shipping fees their FVF’s will increase.

So you think the old way was better ?
Per previous policy:
An under performing seller was shown the door with a permanent suspension rather than assessed a bit of extra fees, and allowed to continue selling if the "policy metrics" improve.

The eBay fees have remained pretty constant for a number of years. What has changed is the cost of things like shipping and sales tax that the fees are applied against. While my net revenue has decreased so has my gross sales compared to previous years. What I look at is my ROI year to year and I have been adjusting my pricing to account for the increases in shipping and the addition of the sales tax in order to keep my ROI at a level I am happy with.

That is what most successful businesses will do.
Have you noticed the price of items in the stores going up? For example when minimum wage rates are up they are passed along to the customer.

Definitely increases in stores, restaurants and other service entities. More so with the current inflation rate but increases in about everything especially at the grocery store.
