So this is a message to eBay hoping someone will contact me and make things right by correcting their mistake which has caused me to have multiple insertion fee charges .
i have been here for days ,hours contacting repeating myself .
i was given a big limit increase .
upon listing the system started after a while charging insertion fees …
i immediately stopped contacted eBay and asked is it correct the system is sudden charging insertion fees??
multiple times I had to contact for this.
to this an agent joms finally replied on the 19 th of April at 08:15 telling me
“all insertion fees have been credited…moving forward ,for all insertion fees on your account we will be going to credit them since you requested for selling limit increase ,we will also follow up so that you will not be charged for insertion fees in the future “
the message is on the eBay system and in my inbox in black and white word for word.
so I followed the confirmation of this agent
and continued listing ignoring the insertion fees .
as anyone would do who received the information I did .
next day another agent writes to me telling me the information I received was wrong and only 250 listings are free .
so ok no problem mistakes happen …
so I cancelled all these listings I had taken hours creating and submitting and left only 19 listings going over the 250 free ones which I am more than happy to pay for .
but I m not paying for more that I only got charged due to eBay agents providing wrong information .
is this not correct what I am saying here or something ?lol
that if you eBay tell me something that is incorrect that ends up costing me money in fees and you got the documented evidence fo that … that you refund it ?
correct it ?
I been left since the 19 April to keep contacting and contacting via the messages ,in the chat ,waiting for call backs that I don’t receive…days and hours when it s simple ,
just refund the fees you cost me .
i got to go through the whole thing over and over again give reference numbers etc I m told by agents yes I got it ! I see the message where you was told wrong Information etc i see it all !
we will credit it and then …no credit .
or I only receive a credit for 1/3 and not the full amount so again I got to contact repeat myself.
i mean what is this here ?
right now my account is showing about 70 insertion fees that I have been charged since the 19 th since I was given this wrong information.
on the same day .
Since I was given right information next day I believe,
the new listings were cancelled and only 19 I chose to leave Over the 250.
so 19 i agree to pay for but for the rest I am waiting for my credits from you eBay .
eBay please let me and everyone else know your procedure when your agents give wrong information to members that ends up costing them money in fees .
do you …make things right and correct your mistakes ?
or simply rip people off leaving them to keep chasing you so hopefully they will give up ?
this is why people are and been hesitant for the managed payments because they don t want to be in a situation how I am right now .

Hi, This is the discussion board for eBay users in the United States. You might get better answers if you post on the board for users in France because the policies might be different.
It's important to know the difference between your listing limits versus the number of free insertions you get. In the US, a seller who has no store subscription gets 250 free insertions per month, regardless of their listing limits. If your listing limit is more than 250, and so you list more than 250 items, then you will be charged insertion fees for those extra listings.

Don't also those, 250 for example, free listings when rolled over to the next 30 days, count against the total free listings for the next 30 days? So, if you listed 250 items with free insertion during March plus some extras, if those 250+ rolled over into April, the rolled over 250 listings would count against the total your available 250 free inserts for April and any listings above that 250 would be charged for?

That is correct - assuming the OP did not sell or end any of his 250 listings. You do not get 250 more free listings each month, you get 250 total. You can list more if your Seller Hub numbers allow - but you get charged for the listings.
And the additional free for having a Store at basic level or above, are only for certain categories. The OP's Seller Hub overview page will tell him how many are available at any time for use.

Yes, monthly free insertions can be used for either new insertions, relists, or when fixed price listings roll over. If you set up 250 listings in one month, then the following month any unsold items would roll over and use up free insertions from the new month's allotment.

They're listing on .com not .fr so the info you provided about listing limits having nothing to do with # of free monthly insertions is accurate.

Some of the Store fixed price insertions (e.g., 1,000 for a Basic store) can be used in any category.

Was referring to the additional free you are given (10k) - they are limited to certain categories.
OP does not state what type of store he has.

@redrocket48
If an eBay CS rep that you get on callback or chat gives you incorrect information that ends up costing you money due to the bad advice, eBay does not refund your monetary losses. If the eBay rep gives you bad advice and you follow it, it is "on you".
If you complain, you may get an apology regarding a rep the "misspoke" (they don't like the term lied), but expect no money to come your way.
That is why what they tell you to do should be thoroughly "checked out" BEFORE you act.

You are correct....when I clicked on his listings and it said 266 listings....I thought he had a store. .....you were right to refer him back to his home board. Sorry about that OP. Guess he could get a basic store and solve this, but at 266 listings AND if the costs are the same as here, he still might not be money ahead.

I appreciate your reply to me
But the issue here is about customer service providing wrong misleading information to people encouraging them to incur extra charges resulting in a monetary gain for them .
I appreciate you giving the correct information to me thank you
but it is for them to do that customer service and their representatives .
Sure people make mistakes including even company representatives I understand that just as your handle on here reads nobody s perfect I agree with that .
But if these mistakes are not rectified and if eBay is unwilling to do that when they are aware of the mistake then it cannot be regarded as a mistake it is in fact called fraud .
I am posting on here because I m registered with eBay U.S I m simply out of the country momentarily.
And whether it is eBay us eBay France or whatever the company or individual even
When money is gained by means of lies and deception it is called fraud it is a fact .
This is my issue
It is not the first time on here this scenario
And I m not ok with it maybe some people are but I am not .
Again I appreciate your reply .
