eBay charging buyer and seller for shipping

Can someone explain to me what is happening with my transaction? I feel eBay is charging shipping twice.

Item listed for $180

Buyer paid $180 + $28 (shipping) + $6(tax)

180+28+6= $214

I used funds from this transaction to pay for the shipping label (remember they were $214... Shipping label was $28, but eBay deducted these $28 from $180. Now my payout is $152.

eBay took $34 (from buyer) + $28 (from me, the seller) $56+$6(tax)

Why the shipping label wasn't deducted from $208 which had buyer payment without tax???

Is this ok??????

Wait a minute -- are you sure about that?  As explained in your original post, it looks like the buyer paid you $28 for the shipping and then you spent $28 for the "label".  Sounds like your buyer did not get ripped off.  However, I certainly could be mistaken.  

Are you aware that you are allowed to refund to your buyer any amount you want?
My selling ID has occasionally refunded postage to buyers, because sometimes my buyers have been quoted and paid a higher dollar amount for shipping than it actually costs me.  While I am not required to refund postage in cases like that, I think it helps build trust.

honestly I think eBay still pocketed like 6 dollars from the "shipping costs" in addition to their normal fees.

Don't what the $6 refers to, but if it's the difference between what the buyer paid and what you paid to ship........then the $6 went into YOUR pocket, not ebays.......
