eBay changes

Greetings, I have sold on eBay for over 20 years using several seller names.  I have witnessed lots of changes both good and bad.

The changes made yesterday are the worst I have witnessed.  I went from one simple scroll down page with all needed information to a scrambled willy nilly mess that has no seeable pattern and is a disgrace to the human mind.

The person who first introduced this idea at a meeting should be fired and all involved should at the least be demoted.

Sometimes change is good and necessary, this is neither.

Could you specify what page you are referring to?

Re: eBay changes

probably the change of the seller's hub, classic view is gone, its a bloody mess, no more easy access, now I have to click here then click there, when every thing was on one page

Re: eBay changes

Same here - over 20 years - this is the WORST change.

The worst part is that they had something that was perfect.

If I didn't know Classic View existed, I would probably plod through Seller Hub and hope for the day it got streamlined and more efficient and customizable. Like in the old days when listing an item was filling out 2-3 pages of information, hoping they would streamline down to one page (which they eventually did).

Now? I don't feel like using this mess.

I'm going to explore other marketplaces and hopefully eBay will come to their senses and figure things out sooner than later. If not, see ya.

Give the customers (SELLERS) what they want or they'll find anther company that will. That's capitalism. eBay's competitors (a growing list) must be licking their chops at this most recent idiotic decision.

Re: eBay changes

I had been fearful that this day would come, and it would no longer be possible to view the status of running auctions and summary sales information with a single click from a memorized link in a web browser. With the hoopla about Spring "seller updates" why was this change not explicitly announced?

I need a quick loading page that can be linked from the browser favorites and displays active auctions and summary sales information with one click. The default of 5 active listings burred in the Seller Hub style page is ridiculous. The “My eBay All Selling” page would display 200 active listing, stratified with auctions first, and that was not enough. And where is the summary information?

While the new page displays lots of unorganized data, information formerly in the "My eBay All Selling" page has gone missing. It is not about which data is in the new page or linked from the new page. It should be about how quickly the page can be read, understood, and converted to information.

Re: eBay changes

I agree, and can not use that crazy seller hub. Found the classic view gone, and the mess this morning 😞 Briefly went on customer chat & expressed my dislike, then quickly left the chat knowing I wouldn't get helpful or satisfactory answers. Its always this way. Change things, then we all have to adapt. Waste of time trying to speak with reps, because they don't care. Anyway ... the best thing I have found to do so far is look for the selling tab on the left side of computer (don't know about doing this stuff on phones), select active which at least shows item for sale, then clicked the banner type icon to the right of screen name to save active as my home page. To see more than 25 per page, you have to scroll to bottom of page to increase amount per page. I'm sure I will have to re-learn more ... Agggghhh 😞

Re: eBay changes

My computer is hooked to our big screen TV and I rarely use my phone for eBay work. Fun and very profitable for the first 15 years or so, not fun the last few years but still profitable.

This might be the final straw for me. If it was a improvement I would be in favor, but I don't see anything better in the new page/pages.

I could get used to it, but change just for the sake of change is bad.

Whoever thought this up and all who approved the change should be demoted or replaced.

Re: eBay changes

Thanks nice to see page but you can't do anything but look, click on any action and take you to the listing view page and doesn't do the action

I agree, hate these changes, just want to go back to the simple way of viewing my listings and checking on tracking and not this. UGH.

Re: eBay changes

I have been posting on these boards a million times how bad eBay's UX (user experience team) is. They have so many interface design issues its amazing.  They ad clicks where they don't need to. Move things that don't need moving,  have default issues on certain pages, and do very little to make eBay feel modern. The android App is a total disaster filled with ads in every listing its hard to tell where the info is on the item you are viewing. Listings  the same on the web. Busy with sponsored irrelevant items cluttered and unfriendly.

eBay looks like something designed by committee.

I know it's competitive for good talent in Silicon Valley. It's time eBay brought in a top notch UX and design team and bring the site--kicking and screaming if need be--into the 21st century.
