I just received an email from eBay saying that an order from two days ago (which I sent out yesterday) has been canceled. Ebay calls the buyer "suspicious" and says they are no longer registered on eBay. In fact the buyer had nearly 3000 positive feedback.

So what now? I received full payment. Will eBay take that away? That's the most pressing concern.

Should I try to move heaven and earth to get the USPS to intercept the package? Why should I do so if the buyer in fact paid me?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

PS. This was an international sale through the Global Shipping Program. Right now the parcel is still going through the domestic system.

What will happen when it gets to the Kentucky reshipment center? Will they scan the barcode and then see a flag of some sort since the order is technically canceled in their system?

That is the typical 'form letter' eBay sends out when a buyer ID is canned. Seemingly it makes eBay look like they are bit "late to the party." There has never been a report of them taking back the money in these instances. After all, if eBay starts doing that, they would have to go against their own policy of seller protection and at the very least cause quite a 'stir' and become an embarrassment to themselves. You can recall the package if you want at your own expense, but it would just likely be an expense you don't really need to put out at this time.

If an item shipped through the Global Shipping Program is cancelled before the item reaches the KY Hub, the item is classified as cancelled/return and our partners will return the item to the original Sellers registered return address.

The item cost and domestic shipping will be refunded from the Sellers account and the duties, taxes and international shipping costs will be refunded from eBay.

Please ensure all you shipping and return addresses are up to date on eBay to avoid issues with returns.

I just had this very thing happen. Ebay cancelled an order I just shipped out yesterday. It would cost $25 to have UPS intercept the package. Not worth it since order was only for $39.99. Will Ebay take the money back out of my account since they cancelled the order even though the purchaser will receive the item?

From my previous experience, they won't take the $ back......... They ok'd the shipment.........so they are responsible if the payment the payment goes bad.........

IMHO eBay should NOT refund the shipping cost from the sellers account. The seller shipped the item when eBay told them to do so and turned around and canceled the order of their own accord. EBay should either allow the seller to retain the domestic shipping cost. If eBay wishes to refund the shipping cost to the buyer they should do so out of their own coffers.

I've had the same experience as @dhbookds as eBay did not take the money back from my account. After I received the 'transaction has been cancelled' notice from them, I never heard anything else about it. Quite a few posters here have related the same experience.

I am really not happy with ebay randomly cancelling my orders.

We offer 30 days for buyers to stockpile with open boxes.

It is my business and I decide when to report a buyer.

I need to stop ebay cancelling my business.

This AI Bot thing is veryd34trimental to my and many other businesses.

I want to turn off ebay automatic cancellations and interferences as there is no fuzzy logic.

If you shipped an order before you were paid then you are probably between the proverbial "rock and a hard place". The buyer is going to get the item and has no reason or incentive to pay you for it, which at this point they may not be able to do anyway.
