Re: eBay calculated wrong shipping?

It normally thinks you will sell the package shipped at the FIXED medium or large priority box. Which stinks, when your item does not fit in either box and is more expensive to ship out - that is why I do my own fixed postage amount instead - because Ebay will default to the priority mail MED and Large Prices. It only had to happen twice - and I had NOT selected MED or Large Priority - only Priority Mail and I said NO more. It even selcted the MED and Large rates if the weight was less.

There are posts about this regularly BUT they almost always turn out to be user error.  The shipping calculator is just that - a calculator - it takes the data you provide and plugs it into the formulae USPS provides.  Most likely you are not providing accurate dimensions, or are selecting the wrong service (large box, flat rate).  If you give a specific example with weight, dimensions and both ZIPs, someone here can probably help figure it out.

Re: eBay calculated wrong shipping?

thanks for the reply i assure you it is not user error say my item is 10 oz
package is 6x9x1 it still has only listen priority mail options not first class
i have had to save drafts for multiple items then re enter the size
and weight multiple items to even get first class to show up
i had an item actually listed at 10 oz 6x9x1 when i did get the first class option to
show up it still listed a price of $7.25. anyway i was just asking if anyone else had this happen

Re: eBay calculated wrong shipping?

Chekc the drop-down menu for package type; it might be set to letter or large envelope.
