The card 60 point card stock and has slight soft corner. Nowhere in the description did we say the card was mint and we took pictures of the corners. Is eBay authenticating cards or are they grading them?

If you didn't SPECIFICALLY note the soft corner, a buyer would not assume it has one.
ANYTHING that is wrong with the item must be noted. If it went to authentication, it was not a minor purchase. When dealing with higher priced collectables/items, you need to note EVERYTHING.

We’ve had plenty that have gone at this value in the same condition that all went through authentication. This situation eBay authentication had the card for 22 days before they turned it down.

eBay is authenticating them and making sure they match the description.
"Your card goes through a multi-point inspection process performed by CGC or CSG. The card is also checked against the listing details before it is packaged up. Cards are not graded."
If there is a condition issue that is not mentioned in the description, then it does not match the description and will probably be rejected.

You do whatever you want. If you want your items to pass authentication, follow the rules. It doesn't matter "what I used to do", it matters that you follow the rules. If you don't want to continue to have problems, then be accurate describing the items. I'm sure if a seller has enough items fail, at some point eBay will probably lock you out, ban your account, or take some kind of action.
You came here complaining about it, and we explained why you are having problems. You can fix them, or don't. It doesn't affect us.
