Hi all,
I have been selling from overseas (EU) for the last 3.5 years and I also was a Power Seller. And I say was because today, without any notice or info for its decision, eBay decided to limit my selling privileges. I had no open requests or cases, no negative feedback the last 11 months, so I asked what was the reason for limiting my account. Their answer is: "The reason we have restricted your selling privileges is to help keep eBay a safer place for buyers and sellers." And that's it. Has this happened to anyone ?
It's very furstrating after all the glitches and the slow sales for the last 4 months (at least) that eBay is responsible to get your account suspended with no reason. Personally speaking I will look for other platforms that are much more seller friendly and also cheaper.

According to what you wrote...the "right's holder" had your listing taken down....which means you cannot relist it period until you resolve the issue with the "right's holder".....you cannot merely change the listing and relist it.
All ebay did was pull the listing which they legally must when there is a Vero Takedown notice sent to them....it is not something ebay did on their own.
You cannot just relist.
You need to contact the Vero Member and comply with whatever they tell youm give the prrof of whatever they ask for, such as the permissions you have/had to use those pictures etc and straighten this all out. All changing the pics did is kinda show you were in violation of copyrights....you never resolved the problem with the Vero Member...and there may be more to it and they just did the take down based on the pics. And once that is done you can ask Ebay to be reinatated to sell internationally or however.

Well, you did get a reason........to keep the site safe. I would guess the reason is some sort of counterfeit/fake claims.....you're selling name brand stuff, including perfumes.....which may be suspect....
you could try contacting a blue Face Book Ebay for Business , if you want further explanation.....a chance to come back, etc... that has worked for some.

The best thing you can do is to go to your seller dashboard and it will give you details about your seller ratings. You will find out if you are TRS, above standard or below standard and reports about how you got to where you are
This is where I think you will find your answer.
Good Luck!

Have you got in the past warnings about counterfect items? Check your message mailbox if you have some.

Thank you for your reply which probably explains what happened. Unfortunately eBay could have asked for proof of what I am selling is original, for example by asking the invoice (like Amazon does), but they decided to block my account without any investigation and I insist without reason
There's always a reason.
Have you had any VeRO complaints?
Has anybody accused you of selling counterfeits?
Are you selling brand name items at below market price?
Have you canceled any orders "Out of Stock"?
How do your shipping metrics look?
What does your dashboard look like?

I got a message on 23rd of July for Image Copywrite violation. That was the only message I got from eBay recently
And did you fix that?
Did you relist an item that had been taken down?

Are you sure the copyright was the only problem with that listing.
That is why we advise sellers if ebay takes a listing down for any reason, right or wrong, do not relist it.

I'm a bit confused; the title says your account was "suspended", but then you say it was restricted. Aren't those 2 different things? I thought a suspended account couldn't sell at all (for a certain time period), but a restricted account could, but with limitation of the amount they can sell. Are they actually the same thing?
While Ebay asking for proof of legitimacy might be an answer, I find it hard to believe they could actually keep up with reviewing all that, considering the volume of sellers there are that sell product here that is prone to being counterfieted. Lack of employees/man-hours to do so may have made it feasible to them to restrict the amount any one seller can sell of certain products, possibly also being based on longevity or store level. I could be wrong about that of course, but just a thought.
I am curious though. If another selling platform is cheaper, then why would you sell here? I'm not being sarcastic at all. I do understand diversity in selling. I have checked elsewhere myself, and Ebay still has a Overall better platform in my opinion. But selling on Ebay is definitely not for everyone. Especially if it personally costs you more, and is not workable for your business plan. Perhaps overseas has other platform options that are not available here.

Was this your first warning, or were you warned before?
