I currently have a personal account and I would like to open an ebay Store. Can I open a store and still retain my seller history and reviews? I started the process and it is requiring me to enter a unique store name. When I try to enter my own ID it says name is already in use. Last night I created a new store with a different ID and it created a whole new store that is not connected to my personal account. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Given the fact that you only have 38 items for sale, I would rethink a store. It costs a monthly fee and you'll need a lot more listings than the present 38. Put it on the back burner & perhaps consider it when you have more to sell. JMO.
Happy selling

When you sign up for a Store subscription, all of your existing listings and your feedback history are carried over automatically. As noted in the previous post, it's not clear why you would want to invest in a Store subscription at this time; which benefits are you interested in?
The "name already in use" is a known glitch and you'll just have to pick something fresh. Your ID will be the same but your Store will have its own name. Don't overthink it.

I would at least wait until you have about 200 or more items to sell before considering opening a store. But if you really want to open a store and pay ebay more money have at it!

Yes, they carry over.
A store is really just an optional monthly fee that buys you a different fee structure and few other features.
I have 1200 listings across six selling accounts because a store is not worth it to me.

You can't open a store with a different ID than the one you are currently using for listings if you want those listings in your store. Using my current ID, I opened a store and tweaked my store name slightly from my ID and it worked fine.
Do you plan on adding a lot more listings to make opening a store worth the cost?

Exactly, don't overthink it. I opened a store for one reason only and that was to save money on listing fees, I was getting ready to go well over the 250 free listings.
My user name jg.mason, store name jg.masons stuff. I sure didn't overthink that. 😂
Unless you are planing to have over 250 - 300 listings a store would be a waste of money.
