Went to close an eBay account due to poor customer service (eBay never answers questions) and slow payments (Mangled Payments). All was set to close. No money owed, no open disputes, no subscriptions, no listings. Went through the wickets, store would NOT close due to subscriptions. Went to subscriptions page three times and it showed NO SUBSCRIPTIONS. CSRs totally stupid (as usual), would not tell me what caused the store not to close.
Instead of giving me help, they were more concerned about why I wanted to close.

...don't call CS by tel. but knocking their door on Facebook...try it as it's really helpful as many in here confirmed...

Sorry, don't see a "scam" there. They might wait at least 180 days to close your account, just in case you may get returns or chargebacks on items you've sold?

I would like someone to splain to me why it is that in order to get competent help on ebay you have to go to facebook??

...because you will get the US base, real common sense people to discuss your matter and get resolve instead of oversea CS, whom only read the guideline which was written by their boss...
