eBay Sales

Hello

I have been selling on EBay for a little over a year and I don’t have a youtube channel.  I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I could go days without one sale.  I have ended items, took better photos, discounted items and still no sales.  I have everything on a 1 day handling, 30day return policy and all items are promoted. I have items from $3.00 to $600 and everything in between.  Any advice would greatly be appreciated!  Thank you

Re: eBay Sales

I've not found the OP's Disney Dolls yet.   But, I'm just browsing shopping for a gift for somebody and searched "Disney Dolls Villains".
I'll grab something off the 1st page probably.  🙄

I am sure many will disagree so what I say take it with a grain of salt. This is what I do: monthly I remove almost everything that has had zero or one views and/or reduce the price to almost no gains at all, sometimes up to 60% off.  The number of items listed compared to the number items sold gets you more views because you are ranked higher in best match. In your case you have 400 listings. How many have had either zero or one view in the last 30 days?

This comes as timely advice for my own store as well.

I had been hesitant to remove the low interest items because I don’t have many listings to begin with, but I believe you are right in that they are a drag on my overall store.

Re: eBay Sales

I took a very brief look at your stuff.

I found a error.

One of your listings is for a "Whacky Pack" sticker.

They are called "Wacky Packages".

Also, have you ever sat down and calculated ... after all fees and expenses, how much profit you will make on each sale?

Re: eBay Sales

@redlinear   @fourrosethrifters You had to pick one that is over-saturated with over 1300 listings. That's OK because I am here to help you and the OP learn search. The reason why you could not find the OP's Disney dolls is because the OP needs to change the title. She needs to remove the apostrophe from the word dolls. Buyers would not search that way because 3 dolls do not need the apostrophe.

Yours is there if I search the way you have it. Your dolls show up number 22 of the 1,300. Congrats, just remove the apostrophe.

Re: eBay Sales

Hi Earthdreamer,

I have been working on my items since I posted here, I found items that had 0 view since I listed them a year ago.  It was mentioned that my shipping was a little high, I usually just apply what is recommended.  I also realized If I had an item say for $25 and lowered it a few times and now it’s $12, the shipping is $8-9.00, well I could see a buyer just skipping right over me.  I’ve been putting a note in the description that I will return unused shipping.  A lot of this is my fault as I don’t look at the seller’s hub too accurately track items.  I’ve just got to do better!

 Thank you for your time!

Re: eBay Sales

Thank you for taking a look, I appreciate it and I know absolutely nothing about those Wacky Packages, I know my ignorance is the reason they haven’t moved, I added them just to diversify the items I’ve listed .  And no I will have to claim ignorance again, I have not calculated fees or expenses, I will moving forward.  Thank you so much for the help.

Re: eBay Sales

Don't know how others feel, but if I saw a note in the description that a seller would return the unused shipping, I'd skip right over that.  Aren't sellers expected to be accurate when they calculate the shipping cost?

Re: eBay Sales

I’m thinking I’m not cut out for this, just when I think I’m doing the right thing, I’m not.  Thanks for your time, I’ll remove those comments about shipping

thank you

No no no no. Don't do that. Use calculated shipping and that will solve all those problems.

Re: eBay Sales

Try creating a "sale event" and mark down your items by a certain percentage maybe you want to do 10%, 20%, 30% off or more.  Whatever you think is good.
