I can't believe eBay would remove something so important.
For EVERYONE who sells personalized products, if you use the Notes to Self to record the special requests, or regular requests or changes requested by buyers purchasing personalized products, and if you use the .csv to download your sales records, well... ebay is REMOVING the Notes to Self from the .csv (GKW).
So, you will have to MANUALLY copy those notes into every individual sales record from now on (and hopefully remember to do it and hopefully copy it into the RIGHT sales record if the buyer purchases more than one item or if two names or orders are similar).
I can't believe they would do this. It costs them NOTHING to leave it in.
They are also removing the Insurance and COD fields (and several others), so it is not only personalized-item sellers that will be affected.
More work for us. More keystrokes. More time wasted. No reason to take it out.
Sometimes I wonder if the programmers (and managers) change things THAT AREN'T BROKEN just to log a few more hours.

If there are security issues, they should simply tell sellers so that sellers can still use it for buyer instructions.
The problem with personalized items is that buyers forget to leave instructions (which are usually part of the sales record), so sellers have to ask and add it in the Notes to Self. It's IMPORTANT that it be included in the .CSV file.
By the way, that's eBay's FAIL as well. Other sites PROMPT the buyer for personalization information, but no, that's too hard for eBay to figure out.
