Tried requesting a callback from eBay from 2 separate numbers and every time they call it goes straight to VM. Something is wrong with their Voip system. Anyone else having this issue

If it's going straight to VM you may have a priority calls only setting where it's not letting calls through that are not in your contacts but sending them straight to voicemail instead.

I have the same problem. Goes right to voicemail. I can't issue a refund since Managed Payments went into effect.

I have the same problem

I've had problems with eBay not being able to reach me from Skype telephone numbers and some obscure cell phone carriers. They just don't call those numbers at all and then send emails stating they tried and failed.
There is a stipulation in their policies that they only contact numbers from a list of approved carriers. While that list is pretty long, some obscure carriers are not a part of it.
I'm not saying that is your problem, but it is something to consider in the future.

I requested a callback 5 times and never received one. I did receive 5 emails from them with their "we're sorry we were not able to reach you" message. There are obviously some technical issues happening at the Bay.

Ebay does not have enough CSR's to handle the calls that come in (180,000,000 members). Try ebay on facebook.

I had the same thing happen to me. I requested a call back 5 times and it went right to voicemail for no reason. I checked my phone and they were not blocked and not sent directly to voicemail. My account then said I could not contact then. I then messenged them and they said it would be 3 to 5 days for a Customer service rep to contact me. 3 to 5 days? If your system was working, I would have been able to speak to someone within a few minutes.

Same here. Ebay sucks at customer support. Always have. What a **bleep** show.

Baloney. When they give you a time estimate, it is based on the number of calls they're receiving and the number of staff they have to handle it. Today I placed three separate requests, the first one at 5:14pm, then 6:42pm, then 8:49pm. First one said 11 minutes wait, second said 4 minutes wait, and the third said 16 minute wait.
Here it is now FIVE HOURS LATER and not one request was received. Ebay just now sent an e-mail stating, "Thanks for your call about your account <ebay user ID>.
We've tried to contact you but weren't able to reach you at the phone number on file.
If you have any questions or concerns, we'll be happy to help you. Click "Help & Contact" at the top of most eBay pages. (You may be asked to sign in..) Then, click the "Contact us" button. You'll be given the best option to reach us.".
This is **bleep** - I spoke with them just yesterday on this number when they called back after ANOTHER request, which was just a few minutes late. Worse, their "service" (for lack of a more correct but impermissible word here) is now "Unavailable". So what they seem to do is CHOP calls for whatever reason, while continuing to accept new callback requests in the same category, knowing full well they will never answer ANY of them.
This about an important subject having to do with a problem with a buyer who lost a case, and his attempts to continue to receive free items after eBay decided the damage he did to an item made the item non-returnable. His state of mind is quite clear from his harassment too; he's been blocked, but can't accept that either.
Get with it, eBay - either provide "support" or stop telling people you'll do things that you're ill-equipped to do.
