eBay Continues to Add Steps for Listing

Please, for the fifth time stop adding more steps and clicks to making a listing. Remove all auto-suggestions (which I would be surprised if anyone ever used since they’re never even ballpark close), and make the form super concise.

I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised to see a Face Scan & Facebook Login, plus agreeing to terms and conditions requirement for every step in making a listing, that’s how bad this is getting.

And for those of you cheering the new eBay payment system, I promise you’ll regret it. They already have God-awful customer service, which is bogged down and difficult to talk to given the language barrier, and you think by doubling the volume it will somehow become easier than PayPal alone???

Theres a community chat in about 2 hours. You might voice your opinion there.

I agree. Listing is so freaking complicated right now. I normally max out my free listings.

How are you listing? I list on a desktop using the advanced form and don't see any of that stuff.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

via the app. iOS. Automatic updates without going to the app center and updating manually, so around every week (+/-) theres some new addition to the form, and I'm assuming eBay's suggested prices and autofill's of info are meant to save time, but they're never even close on their guesses, and to change each one (theres about five things), requires five to ten seconds. It used to take around 30-40 seconds to make a listing (minus the written description and photo uploads), now its easily 2 minutes. That may not seem like much, but it quadruples the amount of time required in a day where I don't have that much to spare. It's all about eBay getting more money and not listening at all to its sellers, which I guess is standard here.

Bonus points for the waking up to chaos parts. They automatically make any listing posted or edited in the app good til cancelled. And add best offer to buy it now on day 8. So much mess. The idea is clear, we know what will sell, we need to sell it faster. The saying pigs get fat hogs get slaughtered comes to mind.
