change listing to auction from buy it now

does anybody know how to convert an existing listing from BUY IT NOW to an AUCTION?

seems like you're having a meltdown

Go to your "Active Listings"

https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active

Down the left column, each listing has a drop-down box

"Edit" is the default text (but it might be different)

IF THE LISTING IS BUY IT NOW when you click edit, it will display an array of 'options' (13 or so)

one of those option is "Change to Auction"

Click that and proceed

my auctions are alive and well.

I guess the point I was trying to make is its not easy if you cant find the place to do it.

I rarely have the need to go to active listings if everything is running smooth.

Have you found the active listing page???

If so you notice the edit button beside the listing> after that is a small arrow that drops down a menu.

Click on change to auction if it is there.

Sell similar will create a new listing, it doesn't change an existing auction to a fixed price listing.

sell similar is one of the first things I tried;  it doesn't work!!  it won't let me change to AUCTION, not on the originl, not on the "similar".  All I could do was put a note at the beginning of my listing text saying that I would let people make offers.  That's all I could find to do.  now the listing looks like it was made by some kind of a dope.

End the listing.

Then relist it and change it.

A fast look at your listings show all at fixed price.

Should be able to change em to auction.

If not end the listing

then relist is as auction.

Is this for the erector set??

I have no clue why you can't change it.  I can if I do a sell similar.

The highlighted box below has a drop down menu arrow to the right.  If you click on that the other options is Auctions.

no, no "change to auction" offering under edit.  Yes, I am melting down;  after decades of using Ebay I can no longer do it.

Try this:

Go to your all selling page: https://www.ebay.com/sh/allselling/listings Find the listing and check off the listing you want to change. From the actions menu at the top, select "change to auction". Make any corrections necessary to pricing and send it live.
