categories: "you cannot delete category until we've completed your previous request"

I am trying to redo my categories

I keep getting "you cannot delete category until we've completed your previous request"

I don't know what it's referring to

I've logged out and back in

Tried different browser

Cleared my cache

Nothing has worked

Can anyone help me?

I just opened a basic store and am trying to add categories and am getting the same message.  I will call support today and pray that they can help!!

I contacted eBay support.   Apparently there is a "glitch/bug" in the system since last month.  They are submitting a ticket to the technical people to remove this message from my account.  It will be fixed but support could not tell me how long it will take to fix it.  Supposedly I will get an email when it is fixed.  Hope this helps anyone else having this issue.

I have been having this same issue. I moved a category and the store lost its mind. 

After a couple unsuccessful chats with Ebay, I finally got a callback from them. He told me that sometimes big moves take 48 hours to resolve and that he would reset my store account and I should be able to modify it more within 24 hours. That was 18 hours ago and it's still giving me the same error. 

If it takes 48 hours to resolve, it should have resolved last night. I told him it's crazy to have to wait 48 hours between each store category modification.

I'd love to know if yours eventually resolved. It honestly sounds like a glitch that needs to be resolved, not something normal.

its now 8/23/2020. Looks like the added feature is still broken.
I created a new category and still today I cannot create or delete categories. Seems like this "glitch/bug" has been around since before 2013

November 10th and it hasn't been fixed yet.  My store has been locked like this since early this morning.  Last time it took three days to fix.

@dhbookds it looks like this is  known ongoing issue. I've added all the users from this thread to the tech teams ticket for review. I don't have an ETA on a fix unfortunately 😞

You can add me to that list as well! Added a category last night and that effectively cut me off from any further manipulation of categories. Can't move, add or create sub cats.
