I assume it is a large item. I would do it after doing a little work.

1. check buyers' status. Feedback received and left for others.

2. Let them set up the pick-up. I assume a driver will eventually contact you to set a time when they are in the area.

3. check the procedure process on eBay and maybe check how shiply works.
4. have the pick-up driver sign something

Just a few quick thoughts. I have not used a pick-up service since 2018-19.

You better find out first if you are expected to "crate item up" or if they do that.

Shouldnt be a problem, the buyer can send the QR code to the freight company and you can scan it on pick up.

Same as I was going to point out. You must have the QR code. Once you get it you are to enter. Without that code you open your self up to a non received claim.

It’s possible but sometimes they make you wait a while before they pick it up. Best to ask WHEN

It's fine to offer local pickup only and let the buyer make arrangements for their own shipping service. Just make sure to bookmark these links in case of any claims:

For item not received:

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy...

For items not as described:

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy...

In the situation where the buyer arranges their own shipping, or sends a friend/family (3rd party) to collect on their behalf, MBG coverage is voided.

You'll be covered if the buyer files a claim through eBay, but if they file a claim through their financial institution as a payment dispute - that changes things. You may be able to fight it because it was local pickup and they arranged third party shipping, you may not. While I've fought numerous payment disputes, I don't have experience under those very specific circumstances.

So exercise caution and common sense and come back if you have any more questions. Good luck!
