It is a shame that Ebay had to stoop so low doing ads! I don't like the way that you are going now. I can't sell anything now, so now after 23 years of being with Ebay, I'm thinking of closing my store. It used to be everyone got their spot in searching on Ebay algorithm you imply in your process of letting everyone get their chance of selling their items. Now if I search for one of my items, it doesn't come up. Why are you doing this to us sellers. I guess is is just a game making more money off of us.. I have so much to sell but you will not show it, unless we do ads!  I need a place to go to sell without getting ads.  REALLY NOW EBAY!

Sorry eBay won't be reading nor replying to your post. Because the only people that will read it or respond are other eBay sellers and buyers.

I don't know where you've been but, eBay has been putting sponsored ads in sellers listings for quite awhile now.

Promoting listings is encouraged by eBay to get top spots in search and shown in other sellers listing to give buyers more to choose from.  Anywhere you go there will be ads. 

It's not personal, it's business.

Yes it has made things more difficult to sell, I just try different things like running markdown sales, Refreshing older listings with new photos & Title, they seem to help a little bit, Good Luck whatever you decide!

Yes I had that at 10%.  Ebay changed it to clicks and Started to charge me 30.00 a day!  Really now, I was **bleep**.  I contacted Ebay and the too all the ads off and refunded me what they took without my permission.  I'm not a happy camper!

I have been with ebay for 24 years now.  I do not like the road they are taking.  I had promotions on for 10% and Ebay went in there and changed it to clicks and deleted the old one.  Then, charged me 30.00 a day.  I called them and ended all my promotions and they refunded my money.

If you want eBay to boost your listing visibility, I'd humbly suggest offering same day / 24 hour shipping and 30/60 day paid returns, if that is something you can manage.

Doing so will convert all your listings to Top rated-plus, and your listings will be designated with a small blue badge that distinguishes them from others.

I have had a single remorse return since making the switch.   I looked at your store; you have an excellent reputation and very nice items, and there is no reason for you to fear that by offering paid returns, you will suddenly start getting them.  That does not happen in categories such as those in which you and I sell.   

I switched all of my listings to TR-plus a few years ago.  eBay immediately began pushing my listings to the top of the search results queue, a practice which continues to this day.   And eBay also aggressively sponsors my listings on Google and other search engines... this week alone I made sales to three brand new eBay buyers who, I can safely assume, found my listings on Google.   It happens fairly regularly.

The longer your listings are TR-plus, the greater selling velocity it is possible to achieve.  I'd reckon that your listings will fall into that category.

Meantime, I have not paid eBay one red cent and my sales are consistent, week after week.

I use Promoted listings General at fixed rate and have been for the past 2 years it's never changed from the 2% I selected and I don't pay for clicks. If you are paying for clicks then you selected Priority campaign which is pay per click.
