You have 5 items up in a very crowded category.  No wonder no one is finding you.

You need to list a lot more, and every day, to have a chance that someone will find one of your items then hopefully look at others you may have listed.

With all the listings Ebay has, 5 listings are a mere drop in the bucket.

I thought there is a glitch with not seeing views and watcher counts? Lengthy thread earlier. Unless they have fixed it?

Yes, some are posting that their views are resetting.

I just listed and am showing views.

So it is hard to tell.

Hi, thanks for your reply. My concern is the PO only asked about why they had 0 views since June 3. Obviously they have had views in the past. Then posters here tell him/her it is a wonder anyone views their items since they only have up 5 items. That wasn't their question.

The better answer IMO would have been that early this morning or even yesterday there are/were a lot of sellers complaining their previous or current views/watchers just disappeared and was another eBay glitch which is now happening daily. Sorry, I am not a bleeding heart, but people have to start somewhere and the somewhere may not be here on these Boards from what I have been reading lately. Thanks. Trying to get away from a lot of negativism I perceive reading these Boards way too much.

If you mean too much blaming of ebay when the problem may be the one looking at you in the mirror, then I wholeheartedly agree.

Some here think ebay is some get rich scheme.

Others feel if you list it then buyers must buy it.

And no ebay is not guaranteed like a 9 to 5 job.

Huh? no one was blaming ebay for not selling something or trying to get rich? The issue was it is ANOTHER eBay glitch whereas views and watcher info suddenly disappeared. What mirror are you talking about? They only asked the question, no views starting June 3 which is when the no view/watcher thing started. Geesh. I don't think someone who has 5 items listed is trying to get rich on eBay.

No, I have a real problem with posters who give their opinion over and above what the OP asks and in a very negative way that would make them feel less of a seller. That is how I read the replies. I have lurked here since 2001, before Lithium, too afraid to even comment or ask a question since then it was more than toxic. Had to PM reasonable old time sellers (that are still here) to get my questions asked/answered behind the scenes I was so petrified I would be blasted to kingdom come.

I have now retired November, 2017. Only listed weekends and some times early mornings before work. Now plan to do this full time. An example re the negativism: one of my first posts here in 2018 to help or ask a question, a poster came back at me to ask how come I only had 7 feedbacks which had NOTHING to do with the original post.

I feel for those who try and make a few honest bucks no matter if they have 5 auctions up or 5K.

I can remember in the old days, no money, had stuff up not selling fast enough, but had to put up that denim jacket that sold for 1K in order to make the mortgage. Have a great day.

With all due respect, but whether or not there is a glitch, the OP, with only 5 listings, will have a problem with visibility.   And as listings that are re-listed due to no sale, that visibility is even less.  That is what those posts referred to.  Even if the OP had watchers and views before, while it is concerning that the views disappeared, watchers are free to delete that item from their Watch List at any time; you are not guaranteed to keep those watchers.

I appreciate your concern.  Em is a long time, respected, knowledgable poster~and her post saying that the OP should try to list more items daily is Board advice that is commonly given, and it is true.

Sometimes what seems to be negativity is simply the truth.

I respect your long years on Ebay and sympathize with your struggles, but answers were meant to encourage the OP to list more to increase his chances of success.  It stands to reason that more listings will give him more of an opportunity for sales, and hopefully that would be true for the OP as well.  That hardly indicates that they did not feel for the seller.

Just telling him there is a glitch, is an incomplete answer as well.  When the glitch is over, and the OP may continue to have no views or watchers, that won't help him.

That's why there are multiple responders.  Sometimes that provides the most complete answer, since no one here is perfect, only God is, so thank you for sharing your viewpoint.

Your traditional Thai doll is number 9 most expensive of 166 listed and you only have 6 items listed.  Quite an ecclectic mix.  what else do you have?

I just went through your 5 listings, opened them up and closed them, then refreshed the page. If you refresh your page, you should now show views. Sometimes my listings get locked up so I call CS and have them look at the locked up listing and it starts recording views again. Today CS did say there were a lot of reports of this problem that it is a "glitch". Good Luck

Hi, Castle. It has taken me all day to decide to write back to you. I have appreciated your previous positive posts and have even communicated with you before. But First off, I am not struggling lolol. Secondly, there were only 2 posters, you and Em, not multiples, that commented on how the seller only had 5 items listed "and not a drop in the ebay bucket." I can understand trying to be helpful, but still the main question OP asked: no views since June 3.

I guess my fault since I assumed seasoned posters here look at a sellers listings/feedback as soon as they post lolol which most do  (this seller was brave enough to not have a posting ID lol like me) and would read threads if no views was a glitch. If you had followed the threads from June 3 to probably now, you would have seen it WAS and maybe still is an eBay glitch. Sorry this puts it in eBay's camp.

Plus this seller has been here since 2001. They have sold more than measly me for preceding months. And has been off line since they raised their question. My problem still stands: If the poster wants direction, I believe they would ask for it. But thanks for you and Ems input. I just read the posts as demeaning the seller yet they have been here since 2001 and probably only list when they can. Like me.
