Zero Feedback Account Question

Hello, I recently started an auction for an item. I had this item set to BIN for $425 and I was getting no offers despite one selling in an auction for $900. So I switched it to auction and made the starting price $425. I instantly got a bid from a zero feedback account. This was strange to me especially because there was another auction for the same item active and the bid is currently way below my starting bid. Isn't it possible this account could buy the item, pay, receive it, then do a chargeback on their card? Wouldn't I lose the money and nothing would happen to them as it is a 0 feedback account and they could just start a new one and do it all over again?

So the bidder is also bidding on other items.

You have 3 days to make a decision.

Block bidder from future bids or erase the bid.

Person might not even become top bidder.

If a bidder bids higher than this bidder with 0 feedback in 3 days you can block this bidder from future bids...thus the bidder with 0 bids won't win...but has upped the bids.

I would be concerned if bidder pays if they win. It's a lot of money plus this bidder is watching other items ending today. Sometimes bidders retracts their bids due to too many winning auctions.

New buyers don't buy a lot the first time...so I am thinking this bidder won't pay for it but will just up the bids.

The chargeback will be through eBay since eBay is sending this item through authentication to the buyer...not 100% sure how that works...whether it is seller or eBay. Interesting though.

I used to do auctions but not lately.

Yes. That's possible for every buyer/seller/item/transaction  on ebay regardless if the buyer had 0 feedback or 10,000 feedback.

Why would he lose his account? Ebay doesnt care if he does a chargeback.

Zero Feedback Account Question

Have to realize would this  bidder be able to do 10+ chargebacks from everyone he is bidding on plus you through his bank? Probably not...

Your auction is longer than 3 days and he is bidding on I think 10+ auctions today.

Would be bidder only pick on you and not the other 10+ sellers?

I think he won't pay if he wins your auction.

Zero Feedback Account Question

Bidder name...l***4(0)...clink on it.

I wouldn't cancel the bid...he's actually helping you raise the auction price...worry about that in a few days and then you can "block buyer"...under "help...." at top of eBay page.

I forgot...key to auctions is you have to watch bidders who bid on them every day...and decide who to block if needed. And keep an eye out for "retractions" of bidders...I dislike those kind of bidders because they might have two accounts.

I was thinking it was possible it could be the other person selling one trying to drive up the price on mine to make his look more appealing.
