Per eBay message:
- One place to sell and get paid: manage all your selling and payments needs from within your eBay account.
- Simpler bills: all your fees in one place on your eBay bill.
- Consolidated pricing: all your fees in one place on one bill, plus special pricing for early opt-in*.
- Daily payouts: direct to your bank account. No need to transfer funds between accounts.
- New ways for buyers to pay: such as mobile payments with Apple Pay.
- Better protection: claim and chargeback seller protections provided by eBay, with one place to manage disputes.
- More control: accept your exclusive invitation now to get a head start on adapting your business to selling and getting paid on eBay.

I would like to have seen something about fees but I guess that will have to wait.
Overall, what I see so far looks good.

Yeah I mean I can tell you if PAYPAL is no longer a payment option for me to receive payments I will stop using this venue as will a lot of other sellers and buyers. They better consider that before they fully roll it out. No way am I dealing with a bank on here and ebay handling the payments. Too many other places to sell where it wont be required and their fees are minimal way more minimal. The rate at which items sell here is very slow the end wont justify the means for me if those things change any more drastically.

FYI no sane person is going to want to beta test using their own money, business and account and subject themself willingly to ebay failures so that ebay can benefit.

I'm still waiting for the answers to the 3 questions I sent via that special email address they gave us way back when this was first announced.
So are you saying now that the only people who will get questions answered will be those who sign up to beta test?
I am happy you will be testing it. FYI ... one of the questions I asked that they never replied to was if a seller currently uses their own merchant account will they be able to continue doing that so maybe you can find out.

Sounds like more hassle to me!

ADYEN coming to an ebay transaction near you. Ebay will soon collect all the money and make all the disbursements. Just like Amazon has done for years. It used to be Amazon kept your money and disbursed every couple of weeks. Now you can sign up for daily payments. May cost you extra to do so.
I am not worried about the payment processor, I am concerned with eBay being the interface.
Just how many roll outs and changes has eBay done that have worked correctly? How much more attention do I have to pay to my account to insure eBay is doing what they tell me they are doing? How many lies and misdirects will I be told when something’s not working correctly or my money is held up due to a glitch?
i will wait till the very last, I use other websites and have no issues with the processor. The processors NOT the problem, it’s just ebay uses coders that can’t code themselves out of a paper bag.

I was going to say that this is screaming to be a topic for a Weekly Chat, but now I'm thinking a six-part series would be needed, at the very least...

Seems there is a few volunteers on this thread that are eager to join up. Let them be the spokes people for the questions.

No I am not saying that. I am saying if you are opted into the beta testing you will have the chance to work the features, offer suggestions, work directly with the team overseeing the test. This is how these things work.
One of the things eBay has said is that buyers will have more options including perhaps Apple pay, Google pay, merchant accounts?
Just like the seller hub was tested about two years before many had a chance to see it. I tested it then and lots of changes were made in that time frame. Some I agreed with some I did not but at least I knew how it worked perfectly and understand why it works as it does today.

I know what beta testing is. I used to beta test software but there were always compensations for it like you got the software for free. When I published a newspaper I got to beta test some software that eventually ended up being used by a lot of small newspapers but I got the $2,000 program for free.
I wonder how many sellers are going to be testing this? Will be interesting to see how it goes going into the holiday shopping part of the year.

I'm with you. Bye bye. Everyone is going to leave. And they will all gravitate to the next site that works. Path of least resistance. It's not going to be this site. They cant even show your items or get a counter to work. This site is getting to be TOO MUCH TROUBLE

I sell on BETSY as well as here, MY ISSUE with the payment system there is if I get an order on Friday and have next day deposit or anyday for that matter I still have to wait for the PAYMENT TO BE PROCESSED and that can take up to 48 hrs sometimes. I WILL NOT SHIP untill funds are in MY BANK or PAY-PAL. So, there will be NO MORE Shipping within 24 HRS for me. Never would I ship out an item before I actually get paid! This is where Pay-pal going away will really affect my customers!

Sellers who optin are to get lowered processing fees. They will also have valuable input to how things work. Developers value different perspectives and by offering things from exclusively a sellers view will help and hopefully create change in areas being expressed here.

I do not think this will be an issue as you are suggesting here. You will have payment received message like you do now. You will have a daily total being accumulated so you can print shipping labels from your daily totals,
