Im not waiting around multiple days for someone to pay. When I make a deal and the buyer pays I ship FAST. I don’t do anything else until I have shipped ALL the orders. We made a deal. They held up their end now its time for me to deliver my end. Thats how deals work since the inception of deals. Its honesty and integrity. Its whats expected and its what I do.
I don’t care if ebay thinks you should get multiple days to pay for something. I run my business and I say you get ONE. One day. If the buyer is afraid it will be gone and ask for a couple days Im glad to accommodate. That would then be part of the DEAL.
Go to walmart and take an item up and ask them to hold it for eight days. Ill bet that isn’t happening.
Check out this guy. Admits calling me relentlessly on the telephone. Admits using a second account to circumvent my blocked list. Its right there in the feedback. Ebay refuses to remove it via the help tab. I don’t call Singapore CS ever so it will remain forever. Just fragrantly violating multiple policies and ebay doesn’t care.

probably going to catch up with you at some point, canceling for non payment before the 4 days is certainly a violation of ebay rules..........if you want to gamble your account, certainly your choice......

They don’t get to rewrite the rules of integrity. They can try and remove integrity. I will maintain integrity. Where policies collide with integrity, I choose integrity.

Odd, how each individual defines things.....I feel like integrity in this situation would be to follow the ebay rules that I agreed to ........obviously you think differently......

I never agreed to let people screw around the real business Im doing with real customers. Im not holding items back from good people because bad people want to play games. I don’t play those games. I won’t play those games.

Those feedback response...Wow just wow.
eBay makes the rules. You can't rewrite them.

Wow. Just when you think you're heard/seen it all. Unbelievable.

Using the word "integrity" to justify your own selling rules is disingenuous at best. It is nothing but a power move, and stating your reason in doing so as "buyer requested" definitely has nothing to do with integrity.

I understand your frustration but I don't understand why you would put your account at risk by not following the rules you agreed to when selling here. Waiting 4 days for payment (as the rules state) is much better than eventually not being able to sell at all. I'm afraid this may catch up with you if you continue on this path.

eBay gives buyers four days to pay - it is pretty clear. And not even a warning that you “require” payment within 24 hours? Why not just set up items for BIN with immediate payment required?
12-25-2022 05:59 AM
So you've never considered listing with fixed price, immediate payment required?

I am guessing the seller does have it set up that way and why he is frustrated that with a Best Offer acceptance, it reverts back to the 4 days to pay rule. I have myself actually held items for a week or more (for their "payday") for buyers but they did contact me before buying it to ask if I would be OK with it.

If you set up and maintain your own website, you're more than welcome to give your buyers ONE day to pay. As long as you're selling on eBay, they get FOUR days to pay. You made a DEAL with eBay. That's how DEALS work since the inception of DEALS.

Actually it depends on the card processor in many instances when comes to the web. They may require shipping in 48 hours yet payout might be as much as five days. Contractual, thats the -deal-. It's never ever ever ever a good idea to throw words where banks are involved either.
If one cares read the fine print in merchant account contracts there tends be a clause about any cardholder abuse which even applies if said customers card wasn't processed through the business. Visa/MC etc rules of the deal, can have a bad sale wherever, here, Amazon and loose one's ability to accept cards even in a local storefront due to consumer interaction completely unassociated with one's own merchant account. I'm not saying it's right but that's the -deal- if wanting to work with card processors and banks.
Also very wrong of the consumer to be calling this fella on the phone unless eBay happens to aggregate that communication. FB replies on the Neg's may all be in violation?

You've been on eBay for 22 years and you're just finding this out? First off, what you did was wrong and the buyer is totally in the right on this. This is eBays sandbox and you have to play by the rules. If you need your money that fast and/or need the buyer to pay that fast then have a garage sale. 4 days is not a long time. I constantly have a queue of buyers that I'm waiting for to pay and typically by the 4th day they pay up no big deal.
