Yet another Chargeback lost, filed 320 days after delivery

Ugh, I know it's going into a blackhole, but writing this will help me vent :).  Had a buyer file "unauthorized transaction" through a chargeback with their bank on paypal.  They were allowed to file 320 days after delivery(August 2019).  This opened me up to the realization that most all tracking on USPS is wiped off the USPS website after 120 days.  Well, thanks for this forum, I saw you can possibly get confirmation through USPS through the Freedom of Information Act.  Okay, what the heck, I tried and actually got confirmation that it was delivered to that address in August 2019.  I sent all of that to paypal(of course with the virus it's crazy hard to get any sort of definitive confirmation from anyone).  2 days later, LOSE case b/c they could not verify shipping information and I also get the $20 chargeback hit.

As for any sort of positive here, will buyers be able to do this with the ebay managed payment system?  I've signed up just waiting for approval.   Thanks1

Stay safe ya'll!!

Payment reps have told me that eBay retains the delivered status in their system even after tracking expires. Assuming you meet the criteria for seller protections eBay will cover you even if they have to pay back the credit card companies. With MP I haven't had a chargeback filed that many months after the purchase so I can only relay what the payment reps told me when I asked them about it last year.
