Received messages from eBay on each of my accounts to check out my year in review report. Cool stuff – select stats, and they make me look bigger than I am. How the hell am I a top 5% seller in Christianity? Top 5% in rock and pop?
non-consequential, but the total views for the year, and total number of buyers was interesting. And I learned that November 15 was my busiest day – 38 items sold on one account!

I just saw mine. I too am in the top 5% (of paperweight sellers). I hardly sell anything and only have 32 items currently listed. I might have had 50 items once or twice over the last 12 months.
Now that I see that we're both in the "top 5%" of different categories, I wonder if anyone received info that was NOT 5% related.
Hopefully others will chime in with their results.

I too am a top 5% seller ... in Collectibles. May 24 was my best day, with a lower number of sales than yours.
There must be a lot of sellers out there who are selling a few items each year.
I cannot say that I consider my Ebay sales significant. There was a time when I might have found them to be so.
I guess it was time for them to give out some atta boys and atta girls. I'll accept mine in the spirit it is offered.

I have no idea where the report is and didn't get the notification so maybe I am not in the top 5% of anything.

I found mine in the snazzy, new fangled eBay messaging system of which I'm not a fan. Maybe they are sending them in batches.

The stats are cool to see. I also wonder about the top 5% designation. I am a very small seller here.
My busiest day of 2024 was January 16th. 45 items sold.

Received my 'Year In Review' and also find myself in the top 5% In DVDs & Blu-ray Discs - Stated that i outperformed 97% of Sellers in this category (find it odd since there are Many Very Large Companies in that category - But i'll take it !!)
Busiest Day for me was August 19th - surprised since Summer is usually my Slow Time (Then again it does not show the info for December 2024)

Yeah, mine was sickeningly sweet.
I love eBay, but truth be told, the email was nothing more than a shiny bright object to divert my attention from all the perversions that permeate every inch of this selling platform.

I was wondering about this, it's part of why I came to the boards, looks like anyone who got it so far is in the Top 5% of something. I can be a little proud of ours, though, we're top 5% (really looks like top 1%) in Books! I find it crazy that our top day was the same as yours, though.
You’re in the top 5% for Books
Top performer alert! You’ve outperformed 99% of sellers in your category. Keep aiming high.

Mark your calendar to celebrate this blockbuster day, with 45 items sold.

I got the same thing, I am in the top 10% for cars, trucks, & vans, Unless they are talking about Hot Wheels that would not be me, Then they showed my first sale of the year & my best sale of the year, amount of buyers & views,I don't know where they get their info?

I’m not sure if I’m buying that I am top 5% in anything. Even on this account, which is dormant for selling, I’m shown as top 5% for LPs. I’ve sold maybe $4500 worth of LPs this year – January through May. Thinking it through, though, maybe if you sell any decent amount of anything you will be in the top 5%, given the sheer number of small sellers on this site, or even moderate sellers that just sell a handful of a particular category in any particular year.

I wonder if they count "sellers" who have set up accounts to be able to sell or even sold in previous years but whose accounts have nothing for sale? Or I would assume they at least count sellers with a minimum of 1 item for sale, even if they sold nothing the entire year. That's probably accounting for a fair amount of the 95% we're all supposedly beating.

I started to look at the report from one account - got as far as the top sale of the year $ wise. The amount listed included the total $ buyer paid (item + shipping) which included both domestic and eIS shipping on a weighty package. 😂
Maybe I'll keep reading later when my head stops spinning.
For clarity: head is spinning because I'm pretty darn sick, not because I'm blown away by the weird inclusion of eIS ship costs.

I am curious about the top 5% designation, so I downloaded the Listing Quality report. What do you all think, maybe the data came from the sales rank (GMV)? Here is mine for the two categories I sell in, which puts me in the top 5%.
