I'm not sure how much credence I'd give to a survey performed voluntarily on an app.
Actually, I AM sure how much credence I'd give to a survey performed voluntarily on an app.
And btw, your interpretation that eBay was 2nd and facebook last isn't technically correct.

I did just a quick Google search for some keywords and couldn't find any info on that story. Do you remember which radio station you were listening to? Or could you find any confirmation of the story online? I'd love to read it!
It's on the "teamblind" blog, and it's not much of a story.

That's a pretty interesting read. The way a company treats their employees says a lot about the way they view people in general. Their employees are just a commodity and in ebay's case so are the sellers and buyers.

I am heavily skeptical of what I hear on the news like that and how accurate their sources are.
I actually know one person who works there, have known him for 17 years, and he is still there and much higher up in the company than he was when I met him. I've talked to him from time to time and he has always been very happy working for them. ( And yes, I do bring up the issues we sellers have, but that is not his area of work)

I have no doubt that it's a great place to work. Relating to the OP... they most likely shed a few employees who they no longer considered welcome as part of the layoffs last week. I sure don't miss the office politics from a couple of my previous jobs.

The list was of the twelve companies that received the most responses from their alleged employees. There may have been other companies that had higher or lower percentages that would displace ebay or paypal from their position on the list. I suppose they chose 12 companies rather than 10 or any other number to lead you to the conclusion you arrived at.
But that doesn't even begin to address the fact that the survey methodology is incredibly weak. It's not like they contacted every employee of every business, or even sampled them the way a "poll" would.

Give them some time they could be number 1 one day. Best regards
