Just had a guy win a 7 day auction, pay and then contact me not to ship and cancel the transaction.
It's not like he hit the wrong "BUY IT NOW". He bid more than once. What a waste of time. I already
had it packaged and ready to ship. That's why I never pre pay for shipping until I'm standing at the counter at the UPS store! I canceled it and messaged him not to bid on any of my future listings. Also put him on the blocked list. Anything else to do? Can't give a bad buyer bad feedback!

The problem with fixed price and buy it now is you have to be the best bargain in town. I seldom buy anything on eBay these days simply because everything is fixed price and I can almost always find it cheaper elsewhere. With the economy the way it is people are becoming a LOT more discerning about their purchases.

I disagree.
You have to have the best deal, and price is part of that, but so is feedback/reputation, description, photos, position in Search, location/delivery time.
I'm hiring an electrician as part of my kitchen renovation and I won't necessarily be going for the lowest price. Same with the cupboards- which are more mass market and less skill- the reliability of the supplier was more important to me than price.

I think I shall look into that option. Thank you!

This is exactly why I have a three day shipping policy.

Agree that other factors may determine peoples decision but when I am looking for a commodity item and it's apples to apples I could care less about the feedback/reputation (MBG takes care of that), position in search I could care less and PL messes that up anyway, photos mean little (MBG covers that), delivery time does impact my decision but not a major factor but I am in a major metropolitan area so I can generally find about anything at a retail store.
I do construction work on the side and most of the things I bid on price is the major factor. In the case of your cupboards and cabinets if it's the same cabinet and supplier why would you pay more for one than the other.
